OS FRIDAY 28th Sept 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for27/09/07. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Alone I feel all alone..... Where is everyone?

Working late today. Managed 4 hrs overtime yesterday, so more to bank for my holiday.

I will soon be poor though. My OH has been offered a chance to go to college and get her PGCE this year. So is quitting her job today and will be going to college on Monday. Back to one income for the first time in 7 years. I am trying not to think about it. I am sure we can find use the student loan thingy if we get in a bind.....but I feel at peace about it.

Greetings to anyone else who has got up today.....

morning n9eav, and all who follow, its quiet on here this morning, hopefully you have all slept well. I have been waiting for someone to start thr thread as I don't know how to do it :D .

Been awake since 5, have got my appointment at the breast clinic today at 9, so have been worring a bit, they will do a mammogram first, then a scan if I need it, and then a bi-opsy if I need it, I am hoping I just have to have the mammo, and no more, fingers crossed, but at least it will all be over in one day, she said it will take up to 5 hours

Os wise will have a quick swipe, and make the beds before I go, I think we were going to treat ourselves to an Indian takeaway tonight, :T

Spent an hourout in the cold last night while OH fitted a new ariel on the roof, came in freezing, we seem to be having a cold snap down south, so heating went on last night for an hour, and again this morning, so lovely and warm atm.

Hugs to you all today xx

  • Morning N9eave & all who follow
Tired here, the lodger couldn't sleep so was hanging washing out in the garden under my bedroom window at 2:30.
I'm taking a tin of flapjacks to work today for the MacMillan coffee morning & I've remembered to get a tub of cauliflower & stilton soup out of the freezer for my lunch.
Hubby & I are out tonight, a friend wants to introduce us to her new BF, lets hope she doesn't ask for an opinion, lol.
Hope everyone has a great day,
    hugs Hester

Morning to all and welcome to SHANDYPANTS (love the name!). We're off to Wiltshire today to see my mum on her 77th birthday. I still need to decorate her cake, make a loaf of bread and decant some HM chutney to take with us. I shall be visiting her branch of Curves gym. She joined recently and, once you are a member, you can go to any of the 10000 branches worldwide. I just know it's going to be a hysterical session - we'll just have to try not to look at each other!

Did not get much time yesterday so have not caught up with the thread; will try to if I get time before we leave later.

(((hugs))) to all in need and hope everyone has a great day.

  • Good morning everyone! Real OS day today - lots of baking this morning (bread, pizza, cakes, dropscones, flapjack, pastry), then an OS friend and her children are coming round for tea :j :j

DS is off to Scout camp near Ripon over the weekend. He's having a lift with a friend, and we're collecting him on Sunday afternoon. He'll need some buns to take with him.

Have a great day, Penny. x
