Quiet month so far maybe having taken the "R" for rest too far. Have spent too much time sitting around thinking about finances for the coming months now need to actually live a little and allow myself to spend time on other interests.
Spends running extremely close to budgeted amount, with a few days to go, but have stocked up with various offers which will see us into next month. NSDs are currently 13/16 so at least on target for something.Groceries: Personal Spend: 0 NST NSD Goals for 2025:Self: Health: Wealth :0 -

). Can't remember if there's a volunteer for May already, can easy do it if there isn't.
I have been back to January which is when I volunteered for April and no one offered to do May (also checked Feb and March and no offers from what I can see) so if you would like to do May then that would be fab.
Thanks misstara0 -
Managed a NSD yesterday - barely had time to do much apart from work and housework.
Was hoping today was going to be a NSD but upon making breakfast I discover there is no butter so will need to buy butter and something for lunch.
Today is supposed to be cold, we have no snow in Suffolk but maybe some of you higher up the country have it? If you do please take care when out and about.0 -
We went for a long walk walk (7 miles) yesterday to an area we hadn't been to for years. It was really interesting to see all the changes, new shops and what had disappeared, Legs are aching
a bit this morning but the exercise and fresh air are doing me good plus I didn't spend any money,
Today will be a spend as I'm off to get my hair done. Been months and it is a disaster:(
Hope all you Turtles who have not been well are feeling better.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Today, I am grateful for a good day at work, for lovely colleagues and pupils, for getting some important paperwork completed, for enjoying my run home, for a lovely hot shower to warm me up, for dh getting some food shopping done, for my attempt at knitting a top hat for the gingerbread groom turning out like a floppy sun hat - at least dd will use it, and I know what to do tomorrow to make it properly, for dd enjoying Brownies, for my book, for living in an area with lots of buses and lots of green spaces.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening all :hello:
Chalked up 2 more nsd's by being so busy that I can't possibly be out spending anywhere. It was a bit of a shock to the system in terms of going back to work because we're running into exam time now so it's just going to get busier and busier in terms of workload. I've done 2 very long shifts and it looks as though more work will be landing over the next few days. It's all on a tight deadline at the moment then the exam marking will start...
April has been good, but more spendy than I thought on hols etc. I'm really hoping that May will be the first month that I can put a substantial bit of cash away in preparation for the summer hols... I have managed relaxation, which will be good because May to July will be insane! Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Not a nsd but only a few bits we ran out of - milk & bread. Resisted park cafe though was very tempted to warm up. Looked so lovely and sunny outside but that wind was cold.
Put some more shrapnel in the whisky bottle. Still behind on my 365 penny challenge but catching up again.
Sent off a faulty unsealed pack of crisp ( hate getting a chewy crisp by surprise ) and they're usually pretty generous with vouchers to make amends. We got £7 of vouchers once when 2 packs in a multipack weren't sealed properly.
My monthly update isn't much as I never actually set my targets, missed most of this month.
Aim for 16 NSDs not been keeping track but know I haven't hit this and have gone over budget on food and spends.
Plan- make a new budget Yay! Something I have done! We've started doing a budget review each month as we've shopped around for better insurance, little man's doing nursery now, planning spending on doing the house up, car payments end next month so our budgets been constantly altering. Will do the same at the end of this month too.
Rest i need to do more of this now, definitely starting to feel when I've done too much physically. I just want to get as much done as possible before bubs arrives. Especially the garden doing so I can enjoy it with little man while I'm on maternity. Hubby is telling me off for doing too much/ beating myself up over not doing more when I do have a lazy day
Invite - meeting up with friends/family We did have a get together with my family and hubbies on Easter weekend - we all went to egg rolling and Easter festival at a local park. We need to bob round and have a brew and a catch up with friends we've not seen for a while still.
Love - love your garden been doing this too. It looks so different to a month ago. The parking bit will be done in a few weeks. Then on to the lower levels which will just take a bit of labour but no expense to do the shaping/landscaping of it. I've had a look round a few garden centres for plant ideas/costing. Have some stuff sat in pots already waiting to go in donated by friends/mum and some bought dirt cheap at a local gala last summer.1 debt vs 100 days -

NSD - not been anywhere to spend anything
Even did Zumba at home to yootoob rather than at class today, saving £4 (although I did it because I wanted to get it out of the way earlier, rather than from a mse perspective) Fitb1t stats seem to be on a par with class too :T
Today I am thankful for:
* the heating! I gave up and put it on this evening (7pm) as it was sleeting heavily (now around 2 degrees outside at the mo) and I was cold in jeans, thick socks with shoes, a tshirt and a big jumper. Added bonus is that I can get some of the washing from today dry at the same time
* getting Zumba done early so the rest of the day was mine
* yummy cheesy coleslaw and jkt potato to eat - and use bits up
* a good night's sleep last night (although I was wide awake at 5.30 as a result!)
