Today I am grateful for completing some admin tasks, for a couple of good chats with colleagues, for for a good chat with big sis, for running parts of the way home, for the bus app that lets me know how long I have to wait, for getting home in time to have 15 mins to read my book before going out to collect dd, for banking all being in order, for the joy of email, for my apple trees still having plenty of blossom on them despite recent weather, for a y11 lad commenting on how useful he found today's lesson.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Stayed in yesterday and did all the washing and ironing, changed the bedding, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and hovered and dusted the rest of the house. Even managed to declutter my bedside cabinet. And did some batch cooking. Today is an us day. We're walking into town and having a meal using a Groupon voucher.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Foxholes - that seems high amount for primary school trips. Glad mine are grown up now.
Not a lot to report did some veg shopping yesterday 16 pounds in lidlee. Probably need milk over the weekend, there was none left or would have got some then. Ended up having a cheap lunch out with dd who conveniently forgot her bank card. She can pay on Saturday day out instead.
NSD for me today, so tired, paw feels sore as well. Did get some cash out for the weekend but it has stayed in my purse.
Food budget - 88.67 - not sure what I set it at now. Pleased with that
Only bit overspent this month is train tickets to Glasgow but sure it will be worth it.
Have a good weekend. If I sort my password out pop on here. Numpty that I am.

MissTara thanks for running the next thread. I'll be more present in May. Must get my NSDs too. I've loved April but not been very disciplined with money (won't bear myself up though, still did my savings and kept to budget apart from a year's membership at the gym - took advantage of an offer of 3 months off when you buy the year in one go)

Thank you everyone
Wednesday was a very spendy day as was yesterday as we went food shopping.
Payday today and I don't plan on leaving the house so I'm at 13/16 for NSD. I'm pleased with that, hopefully the weekend will be spend free on at least one day so I'll happily take 14/15 NSD.
I've also transferred all the money into separate accounts as needed.
I've finished painting the hallway upstairs and cleaned the carpet. It is looking much better! Downstairs hallway as first coat of eggshell - needs another one and then that should be finished too. This hallway has been hard work but it looks so much better already. The walls were yellowish and you could seen green underneath where the previous owners hadn't covered it properly. All the doors/skirting/stairs and panelling on stairs were a very dark varnished mahogany. It made the hallway very dark and gloomy. It's now all white and so much brighter/cleaner.
I still need to get out in the garden though - all the rain has made the grass grow crazy! It's beginning to resemble a jungle!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Boy, am I glad it's Friday!- and a Friday with a long weekend
:j
Think I'm up to 15 NSDs - and am waaaay under my grocery budget - no idea how (unless it's because there are now large gaps in the freezer and cupboards! :rotfl:) No more NSDs are anticipated - takeaway tonight, food shopping tomorrow and on Sunday DD is going back to uni - necessitating a bridge toll fee and probably some cash.....
Will post end of month review on SUn/ Mon.
If I don't get back before, wishing you all a lovely BH weekend

Sorry for being so absent. Work is crazier than the usual crazy and I have been overspending and putting it all on the credit card
Most of it was unavoidable vets bills but it's still annoying. I can't clear it all this month but will be able to pay most of it off, as long as the insurance comes through, and I don't spend anything this month.
I'll try and keep up to date on here again this weekend.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
