Hi everyone :coffee:
I have 61p left to my name until payday arrives in the morning.
Had an ok-ish day at work. I have hurt my finger by jamming it in a door - looks fine but agony if it's touched. On top of that, our head of department and second in department were both absent today, which is always a bit of a challenge. But we survived it and it is almost the weekend. :j
Angelpye - feel better soon. It will be worth going through all of this once you start feeling better. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

You guys so sound so productive and I'm definitely not productive at the moment. The house is okay, could do with a clean and need to get washing up to date.
Did get the cat area sorted and cleaned this morning
Gave in and put the heating back on. It's been so cold, windy and rainy again today:(.
For the first time ever I started in the March grocery challenge logging all of my spends, ready to set some targets next month. Did my final totals today, it made for such interesting reading with the breakdowns I did. Looking forward to really getting into this in April:j
Picked DD up from school early today as she wasn't feeling well at all.
Popped to see my mum and niece tonight who is off on her travels for 6 months soon. I will be able to give my brother his easter eggs tomorrow night which I'm relieved about as I've done my best to resist as I really don't want to be spending more on eggs:T.
Instead my DD and myself have been tucking into the smaller mini egg eggs I had without DD realising they were bought for her
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I hope those feeling under the weather are feeling better soon.
Take care and have a good evening everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Angelpye, is it ADs? I felt ill for a couple of weeks and have felt brilliant ever since, hang on in there! They have cured everything from my anxiety to my IBS (which must have been anxiety related.)
I have overspent on my £5 a day budget today. I bought McJunk for lunch for £1.99 and then spent £3.29 in the little Mr T. I did manage to get a YS pack of posh sausages, three bags of YS red onions, two YS smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, a multipack of crisps and a pack of (full price) mash for that though.
I also spent nearly a fiver on cough medicine but I'm not counting that as my throat feels like I'm swallowing razor blades
The SFC hams been put off for another night as we had bangers and mash with crispy red onions and some mini Yorkshire puddings (from the freezer, I saved enough to go with a roast at the weekend rather than using them all.)
Going to have a bath now and get my clothes ready for my interview tomorrow
I need to clean my iPad too (all my work examples are on it) as it's covered in fingerprints! Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
Thank you again guys, along with my debt, my depression isn't something I talk about with many others - I am grateful to you all for being so kind.
Yorkshirelass - over analysing is the worst so hope your brain gives you some peace.
FVD - yup, ADs...I have felt so awful and agitated with anxiety yet too exhausted to do anything today. Hoping tomorrow is better. going to make a cup of tea and take it up to bed with a film. Need to work out when is best to take them - I know morning is no good as they make me sleepy but I feel like last night I had that horrible false sleep similar to with sleeping tablets or alcohol. Not that I can drink - the other thing I forgot about these is 1 glass of wine makes me giddy and causes a red face like I have been slapped! I haven't really been drinking for months now (triggers massive anxiety the next day) but I did like the occasional glass with dinner...oh, well all for the best really.Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Mine seem to make me incapable of keeping my toes still, I don't notice it so much now but I'm constantly wiggling them. I'm convinced that's why I also lost weight on them, it was nothing to do with the nausea and all about burning calories :rotfl:
Before taking ADs I used to have a panic attack as soon as I woke up in the morning, occasionally since I've been on them it feels like it might start and then my body just goes... 'Panic attack? Nah, can't be bothered'
It's been 18 months now and I am due a review so I will book that next week when I'm off.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Morning guys
jeez this waking up malarky is getting ridic! Was up at 5 today, in about a week I'll be getting up before I go to bed!
Despite being up for 2 hours it's hard to be productive as everyone else is asleep! I have however:
* logged onto banking & did a couple of money transfers
* updated ss with all gc spends not recorded. My total for last month is £158. A little over what I would like but I did get some wine on offer & 2 legs of lamb that were on offer so £20 of this is actually next month's gcs. Pleased with how with a little effort I have brought our gc bill
* checked on worms and seedlings
* sold an item on fleabay
* making veg stock cooking the veg scraps I've been saving in the freezer (have no veg stock left and need freezer space!)
Still to do:
* load of washing & hang up before leaving
* make mine and madam's lunches
* slice up lamb & freeze 1/2. The other 1/2 I will make shepherds pie for tonight
* submit expenses. Must do this morning as last op to get my manager to sign off (she leaves today
)
* wondering if I can get by without buying milk and therefore potentially having a NSD :-)
* wrap and post fleabay items
* put away a ton of washing
* speak to oh about the patio slabs and if he thinks they are a good deal go ahead with the purchase. I'm having trouble making such a big financial decision! (ha ha we're talking about £500 not £5000! Oh my! My mse ways are going too far!)
* might go to the local after work for a couple of pints (thus skuppering the NSD) and a free burger
Ok that's it. Happy Friday guys :j
oh and to weigh in on the other halves knowing about the thread debate,my oh knows about the thread and sometimes I speak about things that are said or some of you guys (some of us having been posting for years so I feel like we're friends and it'd be weird if I didn't mention friends I'd had for years!) But I am also secretive about it and would be horrified if he read my posts :rotfl:DF as at 30/12/16

Hi March Money-Savers,
A day off.
I've been off grid at home most of the week. There are major military operations in our area this week and it's interfered with our WiFi signal.
The news from Dowd Towers in brief is: I'm still employed....We're both getting over a cold-thing...and our house needs a lot of tidying up....
So, better get cracking. I'll add to this list as I do stuff.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Checked online banking.
* Backed up Finances spreadsheet in cyberspace to protect against loss.
* Pay day so paid rent and Council Tax immediately. Felt a bit depressed about the CT. We haven't had to pay since Nov and now it's back.
* Popped into garden centre. Got a free wash from member of staff who sprayed me in the head with a hosepipe!
* Took bags of kitchen clutter from last month's clear-out to charity shop.
* Sorted out mountain of RM Surveys resources. All under control now. Plus was rewarded with 16 postage stamps.
* We've sorted the bedroom. Got out sewing machine to take up jeans so I can wear them. DW is going to shorten them for me tomorrow.
* Advertised 10 used craft beer bottles and postage stamps on eBay.
* Tidied house so that I feel in control of it.
Off to plan the batch cooking now.

I was up a little earlier than usual today to do my hair nicely and put on some slap for my interview, I don't know why because they've seen me sans make up for the last four weeks and, in one case, the last year!
Somebody is coming round to collect a chest of drawers tonight so I need to rush home to empty it and carry it downstairs, they've already paid but it will be nice to get it out of the way. The side table goes tomorrow afternoon.
I've brought in a leftover sausage for breakfast and a YS sandwich for lunch. Depending on what's reduced tonight it might be the SFC for dinner tonight or it might not. We need milk so it won't be a NSD but I'm aiming to recoup at least some of what I overspent yesterday. I would kill for some fresh fruit though, hopefully there might be YS grapes tonight.
Have a good day all

Morning everyone!
I haven't been on here for quite some time... years in fact! I recently gave myself a good kick up the backside and decided if i really wanted to shift this debt I need to get my mind back in the game and do all those small things that contribute to chipping away at the 17k debt I have left!
So with that in mind I have:
-Listed items for sale on various marketplaces - sold one already for £10
-Boxed up items to send to Music Magpie. Seems a lot of stuff for only £5
-Will put a wash on but won't use the dryer, will air dry instead
-Off to the shops in a bit but will stick to a shopping list instead of endlessly buying unnecessary stuff
-Will transfer cash out of Quidco and Topcash back and put into the savings account
-Will have left overs from dinner last night for lunch
-Will go back to the mystery shopping websites and see what is available
Thanks for allowing me back here! I need to keep myself accountable0
