Hugs to Angelpye and Ziggy
Hope you feel much better soon.
Shattered today, for no apparent reason. Achievements, such as they are, look like this:
Pulled everything out of the loft, carried on with stocktaking for my business. Left much of it out, with the intention of doing a boot sale on Sunday, weather permitting, to shift more of it before the absolute end of the tax year!
Took a few items to sales unit, plus some choccies for the lovely shop owners as they took over the shop 3 years ago today
Bought a few bits in Mr S, mainly salad items
Load of washing dried outside on line
Posted an ebay sale
Couple of onepoll surveys - I am only about 35p short of the £40 payout
Started a spreadsheet for business stock, just rely on a notebook atm, though this is handy as I can take it everywhere with me! Might end up using both.
Watered things that needed it in the garden
Made a nice curry for dinner, to avoid a takeaway
Still need to check the banks, will also continue to make progress on my stock spreadsheet!0 -
Hi all
I lost a post he other day which I'd spend ages typing out. Anyways, been really busy at work hence the lack of posting. However, the upside is I've had a quite a few NSD's.
Got a refund today for a delayed train £94.50 I think it was. however I had to have a new type fitted, unplanned to my car, so it will pay for that. Still chuffed because would have had to find that money else where. I wouldn't have thought to claim compensation, I posted my delay on facebook and a couple of friends suggested I do it!
Bought two lovely spring/summer dresses from eBay this week at a snip. Both were new with tags = I paid £7.75 for one and £15 for another from per una and monsoon, so decent dresses. I'm thrilled, and hope this puts my urge to buy something new to bed.
I've been doing FPL, comps and Magic Freebies all week.
Been shopping today, looked at Aldi offers online before I went. Got all shopping from Aldi this week. Might have to stop at Morribogs in the week to get some branded stuff that we want and use my loyalty card voucher that I got last week.
Thinking ahead to Easter I got a big cadburys celebrations egg from Aldi today £2.49 and I got loads of medium sized smarties eggs from Morrisons last week - £1 each.
We're going for a meal on Easter Sunday so I've bought a Mitchell's and Butler gift card with 10% off from a work website I have access to. Also got a costa gift voucher with 12% off, so save £9.40 in total.
Stopping out in a hotel tomorrow to celebrate my DH's birthday. I've stocked up on bottled water as its go expensive to buy individually and we get through loads of the stuff. Breakfast included so not porridge pots this time, however got them on standby for when we stop in a hotel the following weekend when we are seeing inlaws.
Think that's it for me, LP xCompetition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Hi everyone
Here's a big grouphug from me esp for anglepye and Ziggy :grouphug:
I
your idea DNMS.
I love mantra meditation - lots of free Deva Premal stuff out there - and that really helps me with the reprogramming of negative dialogue stuff.
I once started the 100 days of happiness challenge on instagram - does anyone fancy it? Every day you post what has made you happy that day...
Ha ha, DNMS - it's funny - he knows I have pals from this thread but I think he thinks it's from years ago and I'm not actually still posting. Gosh, I feel like I've made this into a bigger molehill than it actually is - he probably doesn't give a !!!! what I do online :rotfl:
Well gang, another payday another day of YNAB fun - I overslept this morning so I've not had time to get online and check banking etc. It's so sad how excited I've been about getting home to my laptop.
For the keen readers among you you will notice that I am not yet on my travels even though I was planning to go straight from work today... Well that never panned out and I am now going tomorrow instead. That means a night at home for me and pooch face. I've just eaten some leftover stirfry and I guess I'll raid the cupboards to see what else I can use up as what I had wasn't really a portion. Really want to order a take away pizza though (still no oven...).
I changed my train ticket for a £10 admin fee per ticket - £20 in total. Was glad I looked into it as I presumed at first that I would just lose them.
Rightyo, I'll away (as they say in my neck of the woods)

Some really really good posts on here about dealing with mental health issues. Thank you. I have suffered from anxiety for years, I go through times when it is just there vaguely in the background and times (like now) when I am dragging it around with me everywhere.
I have managed without medication for years (and I am definitely not knocking the benefits of medication or saying that anyone shouldnt take it) because for me it just didnt help that much. I exercise a lot, eat a healthy diet, plan and organise religiously and keep to a routine. I cant do crowds but other than that I can cope.
At the moment I am having a bad time though and have started having really bad dreams which is horrible. It will pass.
So my good news for today. Bought DS2 some revision books and accidentally bought two of the same books, £6.50 wasted, gutted. Went on to Amazon, found I could returned it. Clicked that I had bought it by accident and they say they will refund the £6.50 and I dont need to return the book! So happy.
That will do for today, hugs to those who need it. See you all tomorrow.0 -
First chance to post today  did read a few posts at lunch whilst at work and eating HM soup at my desk. Today was payday and DH is out tonight in some ore booked tickets so I've just done the big money shuffle. I do love my spreadsheets
I'm such a geek
FG thanks for the 1poll tip but by the time I got in they'd all gone and Dawn don't take this the wrong way but I'm next on the 1poll payout list, so step away from the surveys :rotfl: only joking - it's been a long week without a measly 10p survey for little lo' me
I've also:
Bought washing off line at last minute and it'll finish on airer overnight
DW on for cheap tonight
Accepted a £30 offer on something on fleabay. Must wrap
HM soup to work
Bought loaf of bread from work that was going spare
Took beetroot out of freezer to make cake tomorrow
Cashed out £3 survey
Bought barganious haul from Campbell's meat - thanks for the tip Dawn I got- fish box (half price - at least 6 meals), 12 boneless thighs, 4 pig cheeks, 2 bacon steaks, lambs liver, a breakfast box (which was free) all for £46 including free delivery. Plus 14.5% cashback :T
Right, off to set up sofa bed for BIL and then be in bed myself. Sending hugs to those having a tough time, it seems it's a common theme for many of us on the thread - interesting.0 -
My eBay person has rescheduled collecting the chest of drawers, but not before I'd carried it down the stairs singlehandedly because DS was out
I have priced and packed all my stuff for the table top sale tomorrow.
I only spent £2.20 of my £5 per day food allowance (£1 for 4 pints of milk and £1.20 for some nice coleslaw.) Dinner was a quiche which was already in the fridge, the coleslaw and I made a garlic mayo potato salad to go with it.
I also managed to womble 67 clubcard points, I must remember that people get spendy on Friday nights, during the week I'm lucky to get 8 or 9 points per receipt. They are only allowed to credit two receipts at a time at our biggish Mr T but I will try to do two when I go in and another two before I leave there tomorrow.
My plan after the sale is to go to the pound shop first as I'm probably best off stocking up on washing up liquid and toilet rolls there and then I'll go to Mr T for cat food and anything I know is less than a pound! I won't look at the fresh food section at all as that's what the YS run is for:D
I got two free sachets of whiskers cat food in the post today, they don't like that brand but I've put it at the back of the cat food drawer for emergencies. It also included a voucher for money off cat treats so I'll try them on those instead of the dreemies ones which are mega expensive.
Hope everyone is having a good start to the weekend

Take hot drink and snacks for journey as don't really want to stop but may have to...It'll be about 5 hours of driving
Staying with ma and pa tonight - free food and board
I'm cheekily assuming dad will be paying for take away
Made pal a nappy cake pressie - much cheaper than buying one!!
I need to talk to OH today about brake pads - he keeps saying we can buy them and fit them ourselves but then never doing anything about it - about £40; I've got a quote for a mobile mechanic - about £90. Obvs extra expense but at least it will get done...
Doing a mega spruce round before I need to leave @ 8.30 - WM and DW are on and I'll wipe down the sides and bleach the bathroom.

Blooming heck LuckyLady you've been productive already, and I thought I was early coming on here listening to sounds of the 60s.
Seem to have had the worst 24 hours of my life, my daughters cat who sticks to her like glue, a house cat for her 8 years has gone missing. My daughter yesterday was absolutely distraught all day. What made things worse is that we didn't realise she was missing for 24 hours. She spent so much time in my daughters bedroom, that I often don't see them both for 24 hours either doing school work or watching television together and I would just leave extra food out when the cat got up with my daughter. So while I thought her cat was with her, she assumed her cat was with me.
The cat sometimes would wander out of the front door but shoot straight in, or she is still in the house, but we've turned it upside down.
I drove round the neighbourhood so many times yesterday, basically did all the usual things, and got posters up in the supermarkets.
I'm not sleeping well, keep getting up to shout her name.
the only thing I could do yesterday was balance the books and my banking ready for April.
There is something about number crunching I find soothing.
While my daughter stayed at home, I went to see my brother at my mums, got rid of some easterr eggs which I'm relieved about and I think DD wanted me out of the house to have a good cry and then she worked on the posters.
Will take a drive round the neighbourhood later but we live in quite a rural area, so scared at how she will survive with not many teeth either and she must be so scared. We went for a wander out last night on foot which I think has helped my daughter as she knows we are doing everything possible. Only time will tell, but the family cats are not doing well this year.
Don't know what else I have planned for today. Probably just a general tidy up
Another one here who cannot believe it's April already.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gosh HK - how sad. I do hope the cat turns up.

HK so sorry to hear this. Really hope she turns up today x
Wow I actually slept until 6.45 :T felt like a massive lay in!
I need to get cracking but really not feeling motivated to do so at the moment!
House is a tip so needs sorting pronto! kitchen done
wasn't as bad as I thought it was!dd is coming round for roast and we're going to the park and coming back for a craft session. Free activities
roast is a ys bird I got yesterday with ys potatoes and veg
dd has given me 45 strawberry plants she has been given! That adds to the 12 "all season" plants she has bought me and 20 my allotment neighbour gave me a couple of weeks ago. Literally famine to feast! :T am wondering if 77 plants is excessive???! :rotfl: Am dropping dd home later and collecting oh dropped her back. I was exhausted and had a nap. was lovely to see dd but she was a bit manic which can be exhausting to have someone talking at you non stop for 3 hours!
Might go to the a1di and do my grocery shopping on the way back... just did a meal plan and shopping list and it's coming out at £36 on my supermarket for my "big shop". didn't go out so this will need to wait until Tuesday now...
I must wrap up and post these fleabay sales! done
going to go to the allotment shortly for a couple of hours
(first tidying & wrapping! will post items on my return
) to plant broad beans, do some digging and raking. Will bring home a bag of crumbly compost to dig into my bed here (have clay soil so trying to improve it!) must be careful to sieve it and ensure no perennial weed roots are in it! I have a lot of marestail at the allotment and don't want to transfer it here! Will also take some (free) patio slabs and cardboard with me to make pathways/mark out beds
did some digging, planted out broad beans and 20 strawberry plants Oh my there are a lot more than 50 strawberry pug plants in the box! did some weeding and a small bit of digging. Also sowed some cucumber, 1 courgette & 1 patty pan seed - should have done 2 but I only had 2 seeds of each. Comfrey, marigolds, more tomatoes, sweet peas all germinating
This evening we will just have light tea after roast
film/game and family time. Sounds bliss! DF as at 30/12/16
