Morning all :coffee:
So sorry that the cat hasn't arrived home yet HK. They are such little so-and-so's making us worry like that. One of ours spent over 24 hours with our next door neighbours before deciding to saunter home like nothing was a bother. Fingers crossed for you.
Fairly quiet day yesterday - minor housework, ds football and tutoring. It was a glorious day apart from the hour that we were actually outdoors for the football where I got soaked to the bone in a very heavy April shower. As soon as we got in the car to come home then the rain stopped. Of course.
Today should be another quiet day overall. But I am very excited to be going out to a local bistro with my mam and sister for afternoon tea. It's my birthday present from my sister and I'm looking forward to catching up with them both. Just the three of us.
Other than that I really need to catch up with my washing pile which is turning into Mount Everest in the bag.
LaE - so pleased the nappy cake went down well. It was an amazing idea. Not giving up

Hey guys,
Sorry for being AWOL. MSEness has been taking a bit of a back seat. I hope everyone is ok. HK - I hope that puss makes an appearance today x
The ear infection is apparently gone, but I still have ear fullness and vertigo and the doctor says that I have Eustachian tube dysfunction and to come back in a month if it's not better.
To add to that, the antibiotics totally rinsed out my stomach and it's sore and bloated now.
To cap it off, my food allergies have worsened and I've accidentally eaten contraband foods three days in a row. Which also hurts my stomach.
Essentially I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself. Whinge over.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

HappyKitties, I know you've leafleted that she's missing but have you specifically asked your neighbours to check any sheds and outbuildings? One of mine once got shut in the next door neighbour's shed (he had pooed in there by the time they realised so had been in there for at least a day!) Another went missing for about three days once, she returned home in the middle of the night one night absolutely ravenous but came upstairs to say 'hello' first

Well, I managed another 7 hours sleep after my 7 hour nap yesterday and am still feeling a bit lazy but why not? I'm the boss of me and I say if my body needs it then I can have it without feeling guilty!
I am going to rouse myself at some point to empty the last of the table top stuff from my car and put back all the soft play stuff and try to get the sitting room back to some semblance of 'normal'. I have a perfect-sized box in the car for the WBB package that I used to bring my rubbish home and then that needs dropping off.
I'm going to use my WBB money to pay for a handy person to put up my trellis in the garden, I can't really afford it this month but the wisteria is springing into life and I don't want to leave it too long. I suppose I *could* attempt to do it myself but not sure how I'd prop it up in the air while measuring/screwing though I suppose I could involve DS.
I think I might put a slow cooker curry on for dinner tonight as I'm awake early enough, I bought the sauce yesterday (Mr T own brand butter chicken, can't recommend it highly enough!) and I already have YS turkey strips and med veg in the freezer.
I must do the YS run today, apparently Sunday is the best day plus I've missed a couple of days and we need fruit.
The sun is shining which bodes well for me photographing the OofS.
Have a good day everyone

CCL should we be wishing you Happy Birthday? Sorry if I have missed it but have a nice time anyways.
Really hoping the cat turns up soon HK and CLF whinge away, sounds nasty x
Up since 6.30am, done a load of household admin, admin/finances for DHs business and all our finances spreadsheets updated, plus a very little bit of paid stuff. Two lots of washing out but its grey here. March didnt turn out to be as bad as I thought debt wise but I MUST start updating my spreadsheets properly again.
Going to put all the paperwork away now, put yet more washing in and get dressed. Then DS2 is at footie.0 -
Thanks for the well-wishes folks

Hi Sunday savers,
Lovely day out.....only spoiled by cat coming home injured (chased by dog) later this afternoon. Hope he won't need the vet.
Today's efforts:
*Had breakfast out. Not essential so we paid using our April personal spends money.
*Took packed lunch with us.
*Free fitness as walked over 9000 steps & climbed to the top of a ruin.
*Did not stop at lovely ice cream parlour on way home.
*Dinner in slow cooker. Had l/o beef chunks in freezer, not quite enough to do much with. Bought £1 of kidney from butcher, so steak & kidney with mash & a round-up of veg which needs using.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*De-slugged the greenhouse.
*Washing machine on timer for cheap overnight laundry.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
*All free leisure now - watch 'Line of duty' & maybe next episode of a Scandi drama we're watching, read library book & knit more of B-in-law's bday gift.
*Keep an eye on cat. Have let him have my chair (his favourite) in the hope he will sleep off the shock & rest his hurt paws. We don't want a vet bill but we will of course take him if it becones necessary.
Have a peaceful night all,
F x

I hope ur cat will be okay foxgloves.
Friends offered to leaflet further a field, were happening to talk to a private vet who said about a cat who had been in someone's garden for 3 days. We have the address, had a phone call at the end of sports match so dashed back.
My daughter went to their next door neighbour thinking it was them. Go to the right house, knocked several times no one in. My daughter will need access to their back garden, and if it is her cat I should imagine it will be terrified and will take a bit to coax out.So we have decided to go back later when quieter aswell.Wish us luck, I so want her homeDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I still need to do the YS run, I popped in there earlier and there wasn't loads but there were 4 packs of grapes and 5 packs of fresh cod, hopefully some of that will still be there
