Personally, I'm in the clear: I've already proved that I am who I say I am. What about YOU?

Reading back on his posts he is correct in that it appears that most of you are in a fantasy world. Looking at the times of posts are there any regular contributors who are actually working for a living. I'd say that the only time any of you see a bank is when you collect your dole money from the ATM. Strange that I never noticed that before.

    I also rest my case.

I'd reply to this scurrilous nonsense, but I'm a bit busy today having signed for Manchester City and been plunged into the starting eleven for tonight's do or die encounter against WBA.

Pelegrinini's looking for a big display from his new, fleet footed, 54 year old striker!!

    Attention SMED, Anthorn

Just to let you know, not everybody works from 9am to 5pm.

Some people work shifts, maybe at nights.

Some people work for themselves, or for a flexible employer, so pick and choose the hours they actually work.

Some people are allowed holidays so they don't work every day.

Some people are disgustingly rich so they will never need to work again if they so wish.

You've posted on the forum after 9am on a working day - so do you mind letting us know which category you are in... I'm asking by the way, not demanding. :)

Scurrilous? I really don't think so: The times of posts confirms it and my reply to EachPenny's post underlines it. Some people spend all day every day posting on MSE Forums. Quite frankly they should have their Jobseekers Allowance suspended because what they are doing is spending it on Internet access and using the time on forums when they should be out looking for a job!

Could be that they are so rich that they don't have to work but I'm a realist and I really don't think so. Could also be that they are accessing forums while at work but in my experience employers who have Internet access block forums and chat rooms. Again could be shift workers who are working extremely short shifts lol.

Unemployed (or children not at school or home schooled).

The people who want 24/7 connectivity and/or do not want to post messages on discussion forums which would be traceable back to their employer's IT infrastructure, will simply use a smartphone with a personal connection to the internet. Mobile signals offer 3G-or-better data networks with circa 98% coverage of population centres.

Your experience of how things worked at your former employers for you and your relatively elderly peers back in the days when you had a job, are not necessarily representative of how things work now with people brought up on technology.

You can read further posts on this thread for people giving examples of why they might be in a position to leave a comment on an internet forum at an hour that you think a "normal" person ought to be busy doing something different.
