Mobile signals offer 3G-or-better data networks with circa 98% coverage of population centres.
Your experience of how things worked at your former employers for you and your relatively elderly peers back in the days when you had a job, are not necessarily representative of how things work now with people brought up on technology.
You can read further posts on this thread for people giving examples of why they might be in a position to leave a comment on an internet forum at an hour that you think a "normal" person ought to be busy doing something different.
As Smed said, thou protesteth too much. You yourself are one of those who according to the times of posting are one of those who post all day every day. From that do I understand that you have nothing better to do? I'm retired and therefore able to post all day every day but I don't do that because I have other things to do.
But of course you know who I am but I don't know who you are: You could be an eight year old girl for all I know. But like Smed I'll go with unemployed on Jobseekers because that fits with the evidence.
Do have a nice day.0 -
It looks like I am right to be dubious about not posting information about myself. I have read the thread about ""Micro Investing" in this forum and it is packed with attacks against one poster who tried to discuss it and phishing against that poster and the public posting of their personal information. The same people who were doing that are posting in my thread here.
Then why are you here posting?0 -

Actually I do have a job but they don't have CCTV in the mens room stalls so I write all my forum advice on my smartphone while taking a few minutes out from my desk job to go for a dump.
That explains the quality of content at least. Haha! We can all take a joke here! What a fun forum this is!As Smed said, thou protesteth too much.0 -

Judging by the usual length of your posts, I'd say you need to get some extra fibre in your diet.0 -

Add this to Smed's comment (since removed but quoted by each Penny in post #166)...
if you harmed some vulnerable person or even a child because of it I could never forgive myself., both directed at the same poster, Bowlhead
To me pretty much shows Anthorn/Smed as the same person, as well as that same person having some pretty odd stuff going on in their head.0 -

Getting old now. Quite frankly I don't really care if anyone thinks I'm really someone else or vice versa.
A common thread running through most of my posts going back to my very first posts on MSE is evidence and common sense. The evidence of the times of posts supports that those people who commonly post at all times of the day (and night in addition in some cases) are most definitely not going to work. Now that is not necessarily bad but those living in their own fantasy worlds need to recognise that fact and stop misleading people. And it is a fact supported by the evidence.0 -

The 'evidence' to which you refer, is merely evidence of what time of day a person hit "save" on a particular post, and not of where they were when posting it, or what they were doing before, during, or after it, or how they structure their personal affairs and commitments.
Anything else developed from that primary evidence is your own supposition borne of a lack of knowledge of what people actually do with their lives overlaid with your personal prejudices. And it is a fact supported by the evidence.
Your erroneous conclusion demonstrates that you are unable to follow logical steps and infer something fact-based from the facts presented. You seem to be unable to form a conclusion that is 'evidenced' by the facts gathered even though you say it is, because you have made a logical mis-step.
That lack of demonstrable cognitive ability is something that might or might not be borne from a diminished mental capacity relative to the average UK person. However, I could not say 'Anthorn is mentally !!!!!! and that is a fact supported by the evidence.'
Anthorn may not be mentally !!!!!! at all, so it can't be presented as a 'fact'. If Anthorn did turn out to be mildly !!!!!!, it would not be inconsistent with the observation that he has poor deductive reasoning, but that does not make it a fact that he is mentally !!!!!!, because he might not be. He might just be an argumentative so-and-so who is deliberately drawing the wrong conclusions to things to have some fun on the internet and see where it takes him.0 -
Sorry to go off topic but having just wasted half an hour of my life reading this thread (while I should have been working out in the fields milking my melons) can anyone please advise how to do either of these things please.
A. Go back to the original forum layout when you stupidly accepted the new one some time ago.
B. Ignore users (with or without a split personality disorder) when using the new forum layout.
Thanks.0 -
