Just added £13.60 for some bits & bobs scooped up at the market yesterday and a loaf of bread & some frozen veg bought today. Off to collect DS3 tomorrow; having him home for 2-3 weeks will add a bit to the bills, bless him! And whilst we're delighted to hear that he's been awarded funding for 3 years to do his PhD, it means he'll still technically be living here, back in the hols and somewhat dependent... that said, I'm so proud of him I could burst!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Fantastic news and well worth the bit extra on the bills.Slimming World at target0 -
Well, I've managed to go mad as usual.Vast majority is veg and stock stuff, but in Tesc0 had to pick up 3 of the new vegan cheeses just to try them - that was £6.90 alone. Got the smoked one, which I have tried and is ok. Also bought the blue, and the chilli one. Yet to try.
I should easily be able to do £15 a week, but the problem is (in particular this week) is that I've bought about a million salad vegetables because the sun is out! I do need to focus on veggies as my main bulk, as I need to get back on the losing weight wagon, but I just seem to want to eat so much!
And it's not helped by mild hypoglycaemia (as put by the doctor!), so basically 3-4 hours after I eat (a normal meal not a giant one) I start getting shakey and quite light headed sometimes, so need to eat then and there, or more accurately, at that point it's too late and I'll feel horrible for an hour. So I've developed this fear of it and feel like I need to make sure I eat all the time! It's a vicious circle!!
Oh well, at least my food this week (and will go into next), is super healthy and nutritious.
Need to cook some beans off desperately so must remember to get some on soak tonight.

Nipped to the sm to get more fruit, butter and mozzarella for making pizza with my boy at the weekend and of course got things not on the list. I bought a chocolate egg for hubby even though we'd already agreed not to do Easter eggs and broccoli, cauli and leeks just because they were so cheap (29p,29p and 19p respectively on super 6).
£9.80 spent so £44.49/£1000 -
Spent £3.50 on some bits, not the best value for money, but it was local, so probably stopped me buying more than I needed. Have updated sig.0

Bits and pieces this week have brought my total to £159.52.
Started doing the beef bourgignon after realising I had to cook the beef today - had just put it in the fridge not freezer. Then found the recipe gave an oven cooking time of 3 hours! So the final result is more like a cross between bourgignon and stroganoff, cooked on hob with some creme fraiche bunged in at the end. Smells good anyway!GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -
