Had to go and get eggs today as hubby used all the ones in the house making rhubarb crumble cake this morning and i needed one for the chilli cornbread pie i was making for lunch. While i was out i also went to the local greengrocers and got a load of fruit and some duck eggs. It was stuff i didn't really really need but unfortunately they've approved the building of an aldi in the little rank of shops near us even though there's already one in the town less than a mile away. One of the 2 greengrocers has already shut down and I feel like i need to support the remaining one as much as possible to keep it going.
Anyhow, the upshot is that i spent £13.23.

Oh bu&&er, plot lost...
I think I spent just under £40 at the market this morning, I had £60 with me and a little over £20 when I got back. But then I went to a jumble sale, without changing purses, and didn't keep proper track of what I'd spent there... I'll add £40 to be on the safe side. I missed the best "food" day (Friday) as I didn't get back from Cornwall until yesterday evening, but there's plenty in the freezer; however I'll need to spend a bit more on top-up shopping during the week.Angie - GC Sept 25: £226.44/£450: 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 28/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0 -
Only £33.42 in Tesc0 yesterday, bringing running total to £138.02. Really pleased with this although may need a few things later in the week...meal plan is:

Tues: chicken pie with LO chicken from roast
Wed: beef bourgignon
Thurs: enchiladas or chicken curry - have sauces, tortillas etc left over from last time
