Kensington Mortgage application timescale

Congrats on the offer! It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since our application went in. We have had one lot of document requests from them but our MA advIsed that they have asked for some of the same documents again and seems to think some are not being received by them. We have just over a week to exchange on our new build otherwise we lose it and the reservation fee. We are hoping that they have everything they need now and we get an offer soon. It’s killing us waiting.

your application sounds similar to ours. same timeline and we've been told they are waiting for 2 references that they don't seem to be getting back. it's very frustrating, I just hope kensington chase them and don't just sit and wait.
fingers crossed we both hear something soon

we have put in on a new build as well but that turn around time just seems unreasonable! its very rare that kensington will do it in that short timescale. i hope they do for your sake!

our valuation was done on Tuesday, employer reference was sent today and has been replied to today.
just waiting on the tenancy reference which is hopefully sent today too and then from what my MA said we will just be waiting for kensington to decide 😬

finally got an update! however not great ... my application is still in a queue for UWs so no valuation or anything booked yet wonder why mine is taking longer than others

Our application went in on Friday 18th, Monday 28th they said they’ve instructed for valuation however I spoke to the estate agent and it’s not been booked in yet. Hoping it will be booked in soon, MA has contacted them to see when it will be booked.

We only know about the employer reference being sent as my partners employer told him and we found out about the valuation as the estate agent who we are hopefully buying a house through told us. 
our landlady still hasn't received a tenancy reference request yet from Kensington, no idea why and my MA isn't interested in chasing them even though that seems to be the only thing we are waiting for now. 
My MA just keeps telling me to be patient and wait, apparently everytime something is sent to Kensington it goes to 'the bottom of the pile' and could be another week till it's picked up again.
I'm hoping my MA can give me more of an update next week but the waiting is really getting to me. 

Try not to get disheartened about it, I know it's hard though. being kept in the dark doesn't help at all. An update every few days would be nice. 

Fingers crossed you get a better update next week. If your application is quite straight forward once it's looked at you might not be waiting long. 🤞
