  • My purchase price was above the home buyer report (Scotland) so that's what's been the issue. I'm just worried they decline

Sorry to hear that!  I thought once an offer is made they would have been happy with the homebuyers report/valuation.
I hope you find a solution asap
  • Just to update everyone on are situation

3 weeks ago seller pulled out got really ill

we was 13 weeks in to the application

2 weeks ago found another property got accepted MA advised us that a new application was needed with new bank statements etc

they crossed reference are old applications and work references all other docs were OK

but a new set of eyes ( new underwriter) asked 3 extra questions

but we will supply them today

Also are MA advised us that the valuation is taking place does this mean there is a good chance of this finally being approved

to be fair can’t fault Kensington they are doing the job obviously just soo slow
  • I'm now ten weeks down the line 5 weeks form valuation and no further forward. Good luck!

I think from reading back through this post it appears going to valuation is a good sign for Kensington. It certainly was the case for us. We  had our  offer posted within the week after valuation. Good luck.

Has your MA not chased this at all? Seems an incredibly long time to sort this out! Maybe you could phone Kensington yourself and chase! The whole process for me was 6-7weeks. That was application to offer and a whole load of documents in between. Hope it gets sorted for you soon.
  • Mine is only @ 10 weeks due to us needing to find another property we always had weekly updates from Kensington but required extra info each week
  • I finally got my offer today after suggesting I would need to put complaint in
