Kensington Mortgage application timescale

we had an offer from them last month. Our MB said they do all their checks on the applicants, and once happy with that, only then do they instruct the valuation as it's pointless to do so if the applicants don't pass credit requirements0

Might be lucky when they did valuation they asked me for no other docs just painfully slow before I got offer2006eyo said:
I have been advised that Kensington have instructed a valuer today to visit the property which I understand is a very good sign. Although Kensington have yet to ask for any more info/docs is this weird to do things this way around I mean is their ever times they don’t ask endless questions ?2006eyo said:Oh yeah. I am only at very start I had the hard search by Kensington on 19/10 and apparently with underwriters now so fingers crossed they I start asking me for random docs soon enough or even better start surveys/valuation in the next week or 2.I could start the conveyancing my side as the company said I can pay £400 deposit and if house falls through for any reason can claim it back. But all seems a bit pushy so have decided time wait until full offer from Kensington. Although wouldn’t mind saving a couple of weeks off duration of sale. Ma advised me don’t rush n don’t pay anythin until full offer so following his adviceI would ideally love to be in January although (we have no chain), but think it could be a bit optimistic0 -
Hopefully I have been lucky Sounds promising at least. We can supply anythin they ask for just Cba with the time it takes
*also I have no idea why I wrote their instead of there0 -

Hi all, has anyone been accepted with Kensington with less than 12 months tenure with their current employer? Just concerned my partners 3 month employment break at the beginning of the year due to Covid is going to mean our application gets declined 😑0

My MB put my application in last Friday and they asked the scariest of questions today including one about a credit card they said wasn't declared (even though it was and its on my equifax credit report) and for bank statements proving money deposited into my LISA was mine (so I've sent like 10 statements to them) and about credit lines opened in the last 12 months.
Should I be scared, or is this normal?0 -
They got in touch with me last week regarding an old credit card from 2016 showing on my credit file as still outstanding and they wanted me to clear it. I had no clue about any credit card from 2016, turns out it was a store card that I currently use but I had to clear the balance for them to be happy about it. We submitted our application on 11th October and they literally ask for 1 thing each week it’s so annoying and really dragging it outAberlourj said:My MB put my application in last Friday and they asked the scariest of questions today including one about a credit card they said wasn't declared (even though it was and its on my equifax credit report) and for bank statements proving money deposited into my LISA was mine (so I've sent like 10 statements to them) and about credit lines opened in the last 12 months.

They asked me six things at once. I don't really think there is much else they can ask for haha. My broker hasn't responded to me since I sent the documents and information. I hope it goes smoothly now.Belle2711 said:

We have already had our valuation on 27th October so was hoping we would have gotten our offer by now 🙄 hopefully hear back this week that it’s all approved now 🤞🏻Good luck with yours0
