  • Hi all, thought I would just update everyone with my experience with Kensington
    1. Full application submitted on the 9/ 9/21
    2. More docs 15/9/21
    3.more docs 21/9/21
    4. Survey done 29/9/21
    5. Offer received 21/10/21
They are very frustrating in the way that they operate like asking single questions at a time but like a lot of people on here they do get there in the end so fingers crossed for everyone waiting

Oh yeah.  I am only at very start   I had the hard search by Kensington on 19/10 and apparently with underwriters now  so fingers crossed they I start asking me for random docs soon enough or even better start surveys/valuation in the next week or 2.

I could start the conveyancing my side as the company said I can pay £400 deposit and if house falls through for any reason can claim  it back.  But all seems a bit pushy so have decided time wait until full offer from Kensington.  Although wouldn’t mind saving a couple of weeks off duration of sale. Ma advised me don’t rush n don’t pay anythin until full offer so following his advice

I would ideally love to be in January although  (we have  no chain), but  think it could be a bit optimistic
  • Just wanted to share my timeline with Kensington
The full application was submitted on 9th September and I got my offer on 21st October! They did the hard search on my credit file right at the beginning and so as there was no issue with that, it made everything feel agonisingly slow. They ask a lot of questions and not at the same time! It’s frustratingly slow but I got there in the end.

  • I’ve been sent an email with an invoice in for my mortgage broker but I haven’t heard anything from them in weeks ,no acceptance or rejection,is this normal? I’ve emailed and asked the question but nothing back yet.

    cheers people.

No, it means that if you wanted to buy another property and transfer the mortgage they don’t allow it

I have been advised that Kensington have instructed a valuer today to visit the property which I understand is a very good sign.   Although Kensington have yet to ask for any more info/docs is this weird to do things this way around I mean is their ever times they don’t ask endless questions ?
