    Hi, new here!
single parent FTB looking for 90% LTV mortgage on an older property (not new build)
ive read a lot about new build applications, wondering if anyone has had a similar situation to me :)
Just over 3 years ago I had a bad financial situation breaking up with my ex partner. I am left with 4 defaults. 3 are 3.6 yrs old and 1 is 5yrs old.
ive not much in terms of debt bar a loan I’m paying off £10 a month (1300 not a DMP)
My affordability is fine according to my broker as I earn well now and have been in my salaried job for 13 years.
I’ve had offer accepted on the house I want so so much.
application went in yesterday, hard search on equifax today.
has anyone with a past similar to me managed to go to offer??  Nervous wreck here!

Hey! Your story sounds very similar to mine. I had to go for a 85% LTV though but my defaults were less but more recent. You can look at eligibility criteria online with the different products offered to see if any of them look like they will fit x

We have literally just received our offer.

Our situation was pretty dire as well. My defaults are >4 years and I have an active payment plan which I missed payments on last year. Completely unintentional and a huge mistake. As soon as I realised I made sure payments were up to date.

My husband has the most perfect credit history  with no adverse issues at all.

Good luck with your application. Just a pre warning, it is a lengthy process. They will ask for documents after documents, each time taking 3-4 days for them to review.
It will be worth the wait though. 😀
