What happens after a valuation? We had ours on Monday this week and were told today by Mortgage broker that is was green ticked and fine. Just wondered how things progressed from here? Our MA doesn't deal with them much and know how things go compared to another provider.

Generally after offer they prepare the mortgage offer.

In our case our valuation was completed 20/07. They then requested some further documents, on two occasions. We finally had our offer on 12/08
  • After valuation they prepare the offer I mean, sorry

They asked yesterday for confirmation of something to do with our address history and that was provided instantly, but we were again made aware of their 48 hour timeframe for anything to be looked at. Fingers crossed from here it's quite simple, they take their time over everything more than any company I've dealt with in any industry.
  • I am losing the will to live. and in all honesty its not even Kensigntons fault. they asked for valuation 7/7/21 , booked in for 31st, connels cancelled and rescehduled it for 2nd sept!! Kensington wont issue offer without it. My MA has said i have offer subject to valuation which has made me feel better as its a new build so shouldnt be any issues! but its 10 weeks on monday for me :(

Oh bless you! We had an issue with our valuation also. They initially gave us a valuation date which was nearly 2 months away. We were lucky because the estates agent was familiar with Connels and rang them and had a bit of a go. They then booked in for the following week. It's almost as if they have spaces available in case of complaint so it may be worth contacting them.

Most frustrating thing with Kensington to me is not being able to speak to them, that's I guess for obvious reasons but it is frustrating.

Also does anyone know (I'm a FTB) but when is your first payment due? I was told it's the 1st of the month after you move in. So if we moved in September 30th, is our first payment due the following day? Or do you get a month's grace or something at the beginning?

Can I ask any one who has had a successful application with Kensington. What was the order of documents that they requested?

I currently have an active DMP. I submitted all the statements for this and now they have requested more documents such as my P60 and my husbands Tax Overview, my husbands business bank statements and bank statement from our deposit gifter.

I’m trying to think if it’s a good sign that  they are requesting proof of income and not just declining. Or do they gather all the documents and make an assessment once they have everything they need.

    Thank you.

At first we provided our self assessment, bank statements and savings statements. They then asked us to provide our tax overview and business bank statements from the last 3 months and my p60 from my last employed job over 18 months ago. This was done prior to going for valuation. They want to check everything first before making any form of commitment. When you go to valuation it is usually a good sign as our MA said they only do that if their happy with things so far.
