I'm not sure. Can you check your experian or equifax. it should show on the free score.
have you heard anything from Kensington since you applied? Request for extra docs? references? etc
Credit karma shows equitable I think . I’ve heard nothing from Kensington , I’ve just given the MA everything he’s asked for. Did you have to show you had enough money to cover the first 3 payments to prove you wouldn’t ask for a repayment holiday straight away?
  • @KtStu77
yeah, we had to provide proof for the 3 months payments at the time we submitted our full application

Our vendors have lost their onward purchase  :'( So our chain is no longer complete. Could weep right here at my desk at work

Oh noooo!! I am so gutted for you! Did they say why they pulled out? They might find something else quite quickly and be a complete chain again and can all start going through again

They were buying an empty probate bungalow, the family of that bungalow have decided not to sell it now and keep it in the family. We're bloody 7 weeks in, we're so far along now. So sad. We needed to be in for Sept for my little boy to start preschool there. And obviously mortgage offer expires in October, and the thought of having to do anything more with it with Kensington just fills me with absolute dread. I've asked if they'll break the chain and go into rented or something
  • @EmzJenks
Oh no! I'm so sorry. try not to worry as it's out of your hands. fingers crossed they find something else or make alternative arrangements. I'm sure they wouldn't want to loose their buyer either and have to go through it all again themselves.

@EmzJenks I really hope they come back and say they will arrange to go into rented so it can all still complete for you in the time you need it too! Is there any way if they don't go into rented then you could for your boy to go to pre school until it completes?

@lauraclay1727 I'm trying to remain calm at all times haha. Estate agent just called after speaking with the vendors who have said if they haven't found somewhere by mid August they'll move into rented. I think it's just the mortgage offer bit that stresses me the most.

@amysmith21 They've said they're open to moving into rented if they can't find thank god. We really don't want to move from one rented to another rented. Especially as the shortest time you can rent for is 6 months. If necessary I'll speak to the school and delay his start date if needed I guess. At least it isn't proper school and is pre-school so I'm hoping they're more flexible.

I think my biggest anxiety is the thought of having to try and mess with the mortgage offer and ask for an extension. Any kind of mess up mortgage wise gives me such anxiety it took us this long to get here!
  • @EmzJenks the school nursery should be able to delay his start - they will get paid the funding anyway and as it's not full time school your son doesn't have to go. you won't get in trouble for him not going in basically.
Is it not in driving distance of where you are now?

I'm so glad they are happy to look into moving into a rented property for you but I know you'll be anxious now till its all done. I think that's understandable.

@lauraclay1727 It is about 50 minute drive from where we are now, so it is doable I guess for a short time, but would be difficult with getting to work before & after doing that drive.

I know I'm really pleased they're open to it as well. To be fair they want out the house as much as we want in. They're elderly and the Mr is now in a wheelchair which is why they have to move (need a bungalow) so the house just doesn't work for them anymore as he can't get upstairs. So they'll be wanting to get out asap too
