Thanks so much you lot, just for being so lovely :grouphug: dodgy...
There is some news on that front. I decided to report it to the police as anti social behaviour, just in case it escalates, or in case it's happening to other people around and about. Someone is phoning me back tomorrow to give some advice.
Got home from work and dd was almost bursting to speak to me. Turns out there are half a dozen girls in her year group that had their houses egged by the 'chavvy boys and girls' in the year group. There's the answer, and unluckily enough for them I can pass that info on tomorrow... Strangely I feel better knowing it's not just us, although horrid that it's happened to other people.
So - I've been so busy this week at work and gotten enough done to mean that I can have a weekend without even thinking about work or anything related to it. Hooray!
Also chalked up my first nsd of the month today which is grand.
Nothing much else mse to report, although I'm going to start on my massive list of annoying jobs which should keep me busy without spending too much money. Not tonight though - as Foxgloves says, this is my favourite day and tonight will just be tv and crochet. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening all,
So managed my list and house is in pretty good shape. Just waiting on being picked up so I can have a beer with my chips...classy! May get a taxi home later as friend was so helpful in my emergency I will see if he wants to partake in my bottle of ameretto, a xmas treat, as its kind of a tradition. Sounds sad but those little rituals you have with certain friends are what make the world go round. We won't drink a lot anyway but want to give him the option of a couple and still cheaper than the pub as a thank you and much cheaper than having to call someone out. We will log into my Netflix account at his so cheap film...we have the last film of the Hunger Games to watch, again a little ritual, and yes I realise I am probably too old for that! Quite excited about it now and feel I have earned it with my busy day!
FVD, I am going to steal your idea on purchases when I actually have a budget for such things. I used to phone my friend and she would make me justify the purchases but in the end she gave up!
Hope you all have a lovely Friday. May pop back later when I get home.Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Hi guys,
I'll read through the thread in a bit - looking forward to catching up with you all.
Angelpye - I totally get what you mean about not mentioning your debts. Enjoy your chippie tea
The week at hell continued for me...Finished today though! Next week is a new week. Didn't even have the chance to catch up with you lovely lot this week - the cheek of it!
We decided not to go to the free gig tonight - it's so miserable outside I just can't be botheredGuess we have saved some cash that way as we would've spent petrol and probably a drink or two too. Yay, night in!
I only have £100 fun money this month so I need to do some plans of how best to spend it. Off to a spa tomorrow and then lunch so that will be £50 of it gone but boy does it feel good! It's defo about spending it mindfully!
Here's me:
Cheapo porridge brekkie - but shock horror we have run out of porridge!
Packed lunch yesterday
Need to check leccy bill to see if we've moved provider yet and can get our refund from old provider
Do own manicure :A
Early night with my free ebook
I'll hopefully sleep better now I've met my crazy deadline. Feel shocked that I actually did it! Woo hoo! Was working until 11.30 last night and then up in the night thinking about it and then up at 6.30 for work this morning at 7.45. TGIF!!
We have no wine in so I'm hitting the G&Ts
Night all!0 -
Well today went totally pear shaped.
Didn't manage to get any paperwork done (can do this tomorrow night) as the ironing Mount Everest collapsed:eek: so managed to get this back under control, steaming my finger in the process. Very satisfying to get some ironing done though. I'm surprised we've had clothes to wear, they all seemed in to be in ironing Everest:rotfl::rotfl:
Frustratingly when I asked for daughters school shirt to put in a wash tonight, she comes down with a whole pile more. Where it all comes from I do not know, there is only two of us in the house
Managed to hoover through, want to get upstairs tackled abit tomorrow
Started to wrap some of the birthday presents ready for sending next week:T(6 birthdays this month- I hate March bec of this, most presents bought in sales or from present stash)
Didn't stick to shopping budget, but on looking found out that Tesc@ voucher isn't for next week but the week after, so shouldn't need shopping for awhile, plus got some bits for my daughter to take with her as she is away for the weekend.
CCL it's worth getting the police involved. My daughter had problems while I was away last year. They went to visit the parents and yellow carded the kids involved.
Have a good evening everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi everyone.
I have had good week.
- Pay day and all expenses paid too which is great.
- Taken lunch to work on two days
- Avoided doing a big shop and used up stores and freezer.
- Payment against CC so I am hoping for a better balance this month and hopefully the end of the of it.
- New car is heading my way so I have made sure I haven't filled my car up too much with fuel.
- Payment into savings
- I have forgotten to post ebay parcel so I need to do that tomorrow pronto
- Done a Tesco shop for collection
- I need to read meters to ensure that bill is accurate
- Pick up DD free £1 for world book day, which she has enjoyed0 -
Grrr might have got a bus lane ticket today. Keep your fingers crossed I don't! I took the wrong turn and then turned back, hopefully I didn't go too far to get caught. Annoys me when I do stupid things like this when I try and do lots of MS stuff!
Went to the hospital again today, parked on the road for free. Got told what I'm allergic to. I'm allergic to a lot of things but also the chemical they put in swimming pools to kill the germ. Will have to pay another private health care excess as I'm in a new claim year. So frustrating but worth the moneys.
Received phone from my SIL for my DD who dropped it in the sink! My DH send the money via PayPal and between him and my BIL they have sent it to the wrong person!
Did a market research today. Did a small list and shopped at Tesco and Aldi. I did a small list as I've still got at least 3/4 meals to be made from the food in the freezer and cupboard.
I've done FPL, entered comps and cleared my inbox. Bumped Facebook posts and relisted an item on eBay.
Signed up for some freebies on magic freebies and paid £1 for a 2 weeks gym membership. The freebies were perfume for my friend and colour catchers since I've found I'm allergic to the colour in non man made fabrics. Apparently you have to wash your clothes before wear and do a colour catcher to make sure the execessive colour/ink is out and doesn't go on your skin. Fun and games.
Tired and irritable, think it's the bus lane that's put me in a bad mood! Think I might get an early night! LP xCompetition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
If I never have another day at work like that one it'll be too soon...
On the plus side I went to the vending machine for an emergency Lucozade...and it wouldn't sell me one! :rotfl:Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
ha ha ha ally - way to look for the silver lining! :rotfl:
Dawn your post about your dog reminded me of years ago (you probably remember as I no doubt posted on here about it!) we were dog sitting for friends while they were on holiday. They had 2 biscon frise and we took them for a walk and sudeenly the boy starting limping, holding one paw up and I ended up carrying him. We were really worried they'd trusted us to look after their babies! Ended up calling them (wherever in the world they were) to find out where their vet was. Turns out this was his party trick when he was lazy and didn't want to walk anymore!
luckypenny that suck re the ticket thing. Hope it transpires to be nothing. I know what you mean about scrimping and saving only for something to come along and wipe out all your hard efforts  for me it's library fines, can't help but ALWAYS get thembut I think they guys on here have said to me on many occasions just think what it would be like if we weren't be mindful of our cash and this happened
Really happy to say yesterday I passed my probation at work :j I got in all areas "excellent"(ha ha I need this validation! Since being sacked in 2015 I often afraid I'm going to be sacked
) this also means in April's paycheck I will get almost £40 payrise. Pittance but when my pocket money out of my salary is £100 pm it's actually not too shabby :money:
Not sure of the in & outs of today but taking madam to football club this morning and meeting bff there for a natter and a catch up :T £3.50 comes out of her cb account so no cost to me
Then oh is taking her to meet up with dd while I go to the allotment for a few hours :j it's set to not rain today so I hope to get a lot done. I actually struggle with digging for a lot longer than 1 1/2hours but going to see if I can push through and just accept I'll be knackered afterwards!
I also need to clean the kitchen - usual bombsite, do an inventory and meal plan. Think this will be the last week of freezer meals - I've been living off of the reduced meat in the freezer since new year! done - nope still have another week I think
Possibly ds & gf are coming to stay tonight so have message ds to find out. nope he's decided their not coming
yesterday I used my wombled pr1ce guarantee and got 1 bottle of prosseco, 4pts of ys milk, a carton of oj and sweets for madam for the grand total of £1.88 :T :money: also found 2 more receipts that are worth a fiver. This is literally a gold mine! I've had more than £30 of receipts since discovering this about a month ago  ha ha ha just checked the receipt for my shopping yesterday (£1.88) and have another 15p to add to the kitty!
Ok more coffee before I make a start on the kitchenDF as at 30/12/16

ha ha I also need to clear out 2 cupboards & drawers as they are driving in insane and I thought "my life is so rock n roll" but then realised I like the rhythms and routines of my life. After years of things being hellish with my daughter's illness, chaos and drama every day I'm so happy that there is now calm, routines and peaceDF as at 30/12/16
