I've been on a sim only deal for the past few 4 or 5 months and am after a Samsung Omnia. The best they will do after I asked for a PAC is £25pm with the phone for free, 12 month contract for 250 mins 100 txts. I think I will go for this as its the better than anywhere else on a 12 month contract and considering I havent been with Voda for that long.
Has anyone who has been on sim only deals had good offers?
Just for info, they also offered same contract for £20pm with Samsung Tocco, and a number of phones such as Samsung Steel, Nokia 6500, SE K770i etc for £12.50pm. All 12 month contracts.0 -
Ah well, decision made. Going onto the Vodafone website tonight I see all upgrade handsets available to me are about £15-£20 dearer! That must be their response to VAT being reduced to 15% so I'll be phoning tomorrow to cancel!0

Probably more related to the fact sales targets are to the month end. Today (or yesterday) is early in the month there is no rush to offer deals as they have plenty of time.
Call a few days before the end of the month and if they need to hit targets you'll get a much better deal than at month start.0 -
My daughter has been trying to get the best deal on 600 mins, unlimited texts, and their customer services dept started at £25/mth, then eventually offered her £15/mth for the first 10 months. She hung out to get called back by retentions who were prepared to go down to £15 for the whole 18 months.
The phone they are offering her is the Samsung Steel.
Is this a good deal, should she take it?0 -
If she is happy with the phone that deal is not bad. try and get internet in as well. Or try and get it on a 12mt contact. But on the whole you may not get much betterThe measure of love is love without measure0

My daughter was phoned by Vodafone today stating her contract ends in Jan when in fact it ends at the beginning of March offering her 600 mins and unlimited tetxs and a Blackberry for £25 a month, or other phones for £20, she did not accept because the contract is in my name. I asked if it was definitely Vodafone that had phoned her and she said yes. I'm not so sure.0

hi my contract is going to finish in january 13
i already have contacted vodafone asking to leave the man asked me why i want to leave i told him theres a offer on three for 500 mins and text mix and match for £15 pm with free e71 (I lied about the phone but the tarrif was a offer by my local three shop for chrismas)
they told me the best he can give me was k770i for free and nothing else
i currently pay 17.50 pm for:
750 mins and 250 texts
I really want a wifi phone mainly c905
i called later on and got a lady and she offered me a free c905 but on a 24 month contract???
shall i wait for a call from them or shall i carry on calling to see if i get a better deal?0 -
I have also been told that you should ask for a sim only upgrade at first and during the 14 day cancellation period call them and say that you want a phone or you are leaving
has any one tried this has it worked???
thnx0 -
Hi Moneysavers
I'm eligible to upgrade my phone on the 3rd Feb, but am currenty within the max 70 days beforehand.... so I can upgrade at any time.
Firstly, when is best to call retentions? I'm thinking with it being Christmas & New Year they're probably struggling to meet target sales for this month?
Secondly, what should I expect to get? I'm currently on Anytime 200, STC, VP + 250 Texts for (I think) £30 per month. Not great when my call costs were almost £10 extra this month due to 0844/0845s and my WAP costs were almost £5 extra.
I have a Sony Ericsson k630i...
Thanks
