dont you have to give 30 days notice if you are cancelling? also why dont you/her have a look around and see what phones she likes and then have a look around for deals that you can barter vodafone with,
And i dont think many people get that tariff you suggested. must just be in extreme cases.0 -
so i need to be ringing for my pac code now.0

yeah i think so.
Just got off the phone again to these people. Keep wanting us to go on 24 month deals even though we only want the same deal as on the internet which is 18 months, said no, so they're either ringing us back tonight (doubt it) or tomorrow after 12. hopefully this sage will be over tomorrow if they ring.0 -

If you don't take a phone with it, no problem.
If you want a phone with it, don't choose somethign too expensive.0 -

Well I got my retentions call from vodafone.
She offered either:
£12.50/pm, 600mins, unlimited texts, (12month contract, no phone)
or:
£7.99/pm, 200mins, 250 texts, (12month contract, no phone)
I explained to her that people I know are getting the £12.50 deal with a free phone included. She said impossible. She said she has wored there for 4 years, and if that was possible she would do it to.
So who is right?
She also said "It seems you are wanting a better deal than I can offer so i wont be able to help you, thankyou, bye" - does that mean I will be unable to accept any of the 2 deals offered to me, given that I didnt accept one of them there and then on the phone? Or can I ring back - if so which department do you ask for?0 -

Merely ask for the 'retentions' team.
Note: this is my first post eventhough I've been a member on this forum for nearly 2 years. So you really are privileged!0 -

dont ring them, let them ring you again. Explain what you have been offered and then say your not happy with it. Tell them you want a phone and you will take the offer. If not, request your PAC code. They will then offer you a deal or phone back after another 24hrs. If they dont, phone back and take up the offer.0 -
Unfortunately that's not possible.
Worked fine for me
A good friend of mine is a Sales Director at Vodafone and on his advice I merely stated that I wanted to close my account and asked Vodafone to put me through to their 'retentions' team. They have a team that specifically deals with 'retention' enquiries.0
