Even stranger, she told me that I got my 'old' phone in May 06 so the contract would run to Jan 08 even though it was an 18mth contract!

    Can anyone help or advise?

When you upgraded in May 2006 you might have had a month or so still left on your old contract. You can upgrade about 2 months before the end of a contract and normally your new contract won't start until the old one has ran it's course.
  • didn't see this thread when I started one earlier, so this is probably a better place to put my question:

Hi, I'm currently paying around £32 a month for the Anytime 200 plan, in which I get 200 minutes - I very rarely use all my minutes, possibly not even half each month.

I want to cut this down but also get an inclusive data package, so I've been doing some research and see that if I switch to T-mobile, for £22.50 (Plus quidco of course) a month I can get 170 minutes plus up to 1gb of internet browsing - A much better deal for I'm sure you can all agree!

I would also like to get an N95 (which would cost me £130 on that T-Mobile tariff)

If I phoned Vodafone and told them this, are they likely to be accommodating at all, or would they prefer me to take my custom elsewhere as I don't spend over my included minutes?

    Thanks :)
  • Hi Losimagic,

I can't state for certain if you would be able to do this or not with Vodafone but the easiest way to find out if there is something we could do is to speak to us.

If you call customer services on 08700 700191 (or 191 from your handset) and select the upgrade option you will be transferred to the team that deal with these matters. They will be able to review your account with you and see if there is anything we can offer you :)

Been onto retentions and i stay on the same package.

    75 anytime minutes.

    Stop the clock.

    100 texts.

Unused minutes rollover to the next month.

    £16 a month.

    K800i being delivered tomorrow.

Does this sound like a good deal???
I got same tariff last month with K850i instead but I will have to pay £20 a month plus a £10 sim only contract for one month
  • Another question (silly really..), is it worth being cheeky and asking for an n95 8gb? ;)
  • How's this for a deal? (bearing in mind I don't use many minutes)

    24 months at £20 for 75 minutes and 100 texts and an N95 8GB for £50

the downside is there's no data in the plan, and Vodafones data plans are terrible... but is the n95 8gb worth the sacrifice? hmm...

    Hi,

Our data tariffs have been changed recently and we've introduced a monthly data bundle and a new daily rate charging system.

With the data bundle, for £7.50 per month you get 120 megabytes of data. For customers who don't have the data pack or after the data pack allowance is all used up, the daily rate kicks in.

With the daily rate you're charged the equivalent rate of £2.00 per megabyte, however as soon as your charges for data that day hit £1.00, which is 0.5mb, we stop charging you and give you the next 14.5 megabytes for free. If you used the full 15 megabytes for £1.00 then you'd pay the normal £2.00 per megabyte for the rest of your data that day. This starts again after midnight and you're then entitled to another daily rate of £1.00 for up to 15mb.

This is very good in comparison to the old standard £2.00 per megabyte charging. Before, 15 megabytes of data without a data bundle would cost you £30.00, now it's only £1.00. Hope this helps.

    Hi all,

Currently on "Off Peak 600 incl IB" vodafone , and my contract has expired in Oct-07. I pay £11.99 per month line rental plus £3 to £4 extra on calls/text I make during peak hours and other networks. Average bill comes to around £16-£17 per month max.

I have a Nokia 6320 handset ; battery life is awful - please suggest me one phone(preferably nokia so that I can reuse the charger) with a good battery life to ask for while upgrading. All I'm looking for is a decent handset with good battery life, I don't care for other junkie stuffs like camera or radio/mp3 etc

Also, shall I remain on the same tariff, are there better tariffs (possibly cheaper) out there with vodafone with my current spending pattern ?

Any suggestions would be highly welcome with thanks.
