Hi povemeister.
My contract ends at the end of december.
Currently on 75 minutes, 100 texts and stop the clock for £16 a month.
I am also tied into aanother 11 months with the broadband package so i guess that will affect my bargaining.
What am i likely to get???
Thanks.
One other thing, i complained a couple of months ago about vodafone live, so they credited me back my internet usage charges, about £7, said to try the mobile internet free for a month, then cancel and phone back in october to se what else they could offer me.
Would you have any idea as to what this may be,
Thanks again.0 -
Hi povemeister
Currently at the end of my 18month CTRA500+VP2+18M@35 which I think the VP was 1000 text?
Had a nightmare with the Nokia 6680, lovely phone but went through 5 in a short period of time and in the end I was given a SE K800i with no extension to my contract. Not sure if this would have bearing on my retention.
Would prefer a 12month renewal
Use around 500 text and 200 mins a month
I was a big user of VodafoneLive till the free use was stopped early this year, so would like to have the mobile bundle.
Thinking of the Nokia N95 or the SE W960i if and when it becomes available do you think it is possible to get a good deal?
Also I seem to be getting one or two premium text messages a month, unsolicated by me, but I get billed for them, whenever I query I get, the 'nothing we can do sir' why? Can a block be placed on them?

Hi povemeister
My Vodafone contract expired 7 months ago and have been looking around ever since for a phone I like. I have had a SE T660 for last 3/4 years and have not tried to upgrade it. I like the look of the new K850i.
Currently I am on an old Vodafone tariff called Anytime 30, which gives me 30 mins free each month and costs £15 (incl VAT).
What is my best approach to get an upgrade to the K850i at the cheapest price (preferably free). I must keep the same phone number though
TIA

I'm currently on a 125 minutes with 250 texts for 20 quid contract, and have been with Vodafone for over 4 years. Wanting to upgrade to the K850i, and was offered approx 130 quid (18 months) or 82 quid (24 months) when I called them yesterday.
What is the best I should hang out for to stay with them?0 -
I just got off the phone to rententions at Vodafone although I'm not 100% sure it was them because I was passed through and then the lady said 'upgrades'. Becasically, my contract ends 15th November and I'm currently on an 18month contract 500 anytime minutes I think (can't remember number of texts, but I don't use them really) for £25 per month. I had lowered my tariff for the previous two months to 75 minutes per month and line rental is about £18 because I went away for a while.
I asked for a K850i. He said, "Yes sir, we can do that. £35 per month, 18 month contract and 500 anytime minutes, 100 texts."
I then replied, "I'm looking at your (official Vodafone) website right now and I can get that for £30 per month."
After a bit of erring, he said, "Oh yes, we can match that. It must be an internet only special offer."
I declined to tell him that it doesn't say it's a special. He also mentioned that deals like that via the web heavily subsidise the phone... Although by my calculations 18 * 30 = £540! (Never mind the £630 that he was originally after.) It's still a hefty amount of money when you look at it like that.
So, since I was basically told to get lost, is all hope lost and I need to move to another provider?0 -
18 month contract up last month 150mins 500 sms stc for £25 a month plus £2 billing plus £7 insurance
Phoned Voda who i've been with for 5 years about the sek850i
yeh he says you can have it free on a 24 month contract
200 mins & 100 texts for 30 quid a month
otherwise its 70 quid for the phone on a 18 month contract
but if your a new customer you get it free on 500 mins 100texts for 30 quid
a month work that one out !!
For me to get that contract would cost me 35 quid apparently !
what happened to loyalty ? my bills have been from 40 quid cheapest to
around the 100 mark plenty of times so I asked what my average bill was
over the last 18 months ? sorry he says it doesn't work like that !!
O2 here i come0 -
Sounds like you got the same guy as me!0
-
At least he offered to match the internet price !
Wouldn't budge with me, I wouldn't mind if I was phoning up early before my contract was up. My contract ended last month I just can't get my head around why special deals for new customer's ?
Oh and he said if I left Voda I couldn't come back for 3 months.....
decisions decisions anyone recommend o2 ?0 -
I got my 2nd line on 12 month contract for £15 per month for 9 months, £30 for 3 months with £50 credit on my account after 3 payments. Which makes it about £15 a month over the year. I got 200 cross network anytime minutes, 100 text, stop the clock and a free samsung u700.
Which department did you speak to? I am after something similar.0
