No chance of a SureSignal box, iPhone & S6/Edge has wifi calling on V.

  • Well Retention called today. They offered

    s6 Ege 64gb
    6gig data
    Unlimited calls and texts
    Free phone

For £32.40 a month for 24 months. So i've taken it, I said I only needed 2gig data but they said they can offer a bigger discount with the bigger data package
  • hi all , bit of advice needed, my contract ends on the 19th of this month, i asked for my pac code on the 20th of october to start the ball rolling, ive decided i want the sony z5 premium (not out yet but soon), ive seen it advertised for £32 a month with vodafone on moneysupermarket but officially vodafone dont have it yet.

what will happen if i just let my pac code expire and then wait a week or 2 then upgrade to the z5 premium ?
what tariff does it switch you to if you dont use your pac code ?

Sorry, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but that actually sounds quite expensive to me.

You can buy the phone on Amazon for £452. You can possibly also buy it cheaper than that (on, for example, eBay) if you hunt around. If we take Amazon's price though, that's £18.83 per month over a 24 month contract.

That gives you an extra £18 (approx) to find a decent SIM only deal. I've been offered 4GB data for the equivalent of £7.50 per month with VF (and that's not via retentions).

I say this not to make you feel bad about striking a bad bargain but in the hope that you will read it and exercise your right to cancel this contract within the first 14 days, or ideally right away today.

I was on the Live Chat yesterday to Vodafone looking to cancel as i had seen the following O2 deal on TechRadar:

    iPhone 6S 64GB
£75 Up front cost (following a £100 off voucher)
    Unlimited calls and texts
    3GB data
    £31 P/Month

After a lot of negotiating, i got the following:

    iPhone 6S 64GB
    £50 up front cost
    Unlimited Minutes and texts
    2gb data
    £33.00 P/Month

Works out around £30 more but i dont have the faff of changing contracts, PAC codes etc

Those of you lucky enough to be near the end of your contracts- please, walk away from this dreadful company before you're tied in for another 2 years!!!!

Just look through some of the complaints here on the MSE forums. It looks like they've abandoned any kind of customer service in favour of plain old ripping people off and washing their hands of any problems by pointing out the terms and conditions of contracts.

search google for the love money article about the UK's worst mobile phone provider. It backs up that Vodafone have the worst customer service too- out of ALL the providers.

Apologies if this is slightly off topic, but I think it's a worthwhile warning for those that may end up being stung by signing up to an extended contract.

Called to cancel and got through to retentions within 5 minutes. I was on their 4GB package at half price for the year. The guy I spoke with kept casually offering things and I told him it would have to be less than £15 a month.

Finally agreed to their 6GB, unl texts and calls with Eurotraveller Plus plan for £15.50 / month with one month free, working out just under £14/month effectively. That was the 'absolute lowest' he could go to and didn't think he could/would go any lower so agreed on that. I would pay for Spotify at £10 / month anyway so it makes this package very cheap.

When I called, I quoted other new customer deals with EE etc and told them I wasn't happy due to issues with Voda's network and put the ball in his court with what he could do in terms of deals. This is perhaps a good strategy to use and he was quite quick to start offering me things even if I didn't accept until his very best offer near the end of the call for the aforementioned deal.

    Hope it helps.
