Vodafone Retention Deals

Vodafone company representative Lee,
Are you still on here?
I got my first bill today, VEA applied thanks.
2 problems:
1. One of the £10 goodwill credits was missing, so I've had a web chat with customer services, and I've been promised it on next month's bill. Hopefully will be resolved.
2. Since about 30 mins ago, I have no signal, again. I don't have the strength or time right now to deal with vodafone customer services for the 5th time about this particular problem. "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network." This is despite me turning OFF 4G services at the request of vodafone tech support last week.
I give up.
Nothing is worth this amount of hassle.
Thinking of returning the phone and cancelling the contract.
UPDATE:
Switched off phone, removed sim, restarted phone. I now have a vodafone signal. Having to do this every couple of days is really not an acceptable solution though. Not happy about having to switch off 4G either.0 -
Hi LXGB,
Thanks for updating the thread.
I'll check the coverage in your area and get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Lee

I rang for my PAC code today, intending to change to another network due to my last deal coming to an end.
I was offered the following:
4G Sim
unlimited minutes
unlimited texts
1Gb Data
500 meg WIFI
12 month sim only deal
Cost per month £11
I'm happy with that, and have taken the deal.
Good luck everyone!
DavidNice and easy, saves messing around changing networks.

I have been offered 2 contracts on one call and another contract on another call. Both offered discount amounts. When the bill came I was charged full amounts. When calling 191, there is no record of the amounts I was offered. So am having calls transcribed. LOOK AT YOUR BILLS, they will do anything to get you signed up for another 24 months. Now I have the hassle of taking this further up the legal route. :mad:0

Hi zazasand,
I'm sorry to see that this remains unresolved.
So I can help you further, email me via the contact details posted here last week.

Hi all
My partner's father just got (and accepted) 50% off a standard tariff, with virtually no haggling:
- Free HTC desire 610 (and free delivery)
- 600 mins
- Ult texts
- 500mb 3G data
£13.25 per month, usually £26.50 per month.0 -
Can anyone advise whether the retention team call pay as you go customers? I know someone who was on PAYG but now want to get a deal through retentions.0

4gb of 4g data

Ah, so once the PAYG customer gets their PAC code, that's that, they don't bother to try to keep you?
Seems a bit short-sighted, given that in my partner's mum's case, she wants to move onto a contract with a new phone etc.0
