cheers for the replys The Boss, ive been with them since 2000, bar one year with o2, they called (with 2 weeks or so to go) offering s5 ult mins ult texts free s5 but only way they can bring it under £30 is a 3g price plan with 1gb data if they make it 2gb (which i have now for £21) it becomes the £30 odd 4g price plan price
Have you phoned up to cancel yet or are you not yet eligible to cancel?0 -
hi again, I called to get the pac code Thursday just gone, the offer above was what the operator came up with, retentions could only offer the same as the operator, contracts up officially on 16 oct but 2year discount runs out 2 oct, so maybe abit early ? but to avoid paying the higher p/plan once discount runs out, I have to move or renew before 16th September, might hold out to see what price the note 4 goes for depending on if voda have it. same deal btw for note 3 on a 3g plan.0
-
also as price plan pays inadvance eg bill in September pays September to oct 16th that's why I got pac code now as contract is payed up but Septembers bill.0

What did they say when you asked for your PAC 6 weeks before your contract ends?
I suspect waiting til closer to the time will create a bit more urgency for them.0 -
fair enough good point, thanks for your imput and quick replys

Hi all,
I've posted this in a different thread I started but was hoping for some advice.
I was offered a 45% discount by retentions, which I accepted. I then applied for my 20% Employee Advantage Plan discount through my company and was accepted. Since then, I received a letter from Vodafone stating that I get my tariff for £48/month with a 20% discount. Having called them, they have reinstated the 45% discount but said I can't have both this and the 20% EAP discount. Is this correct?0 -
The Boss:
I'll resist the urge to mention you posting a somewhat sarcastic reply to mine (which you then deleted) whilst saying how great your deal was, despite me merely taking the time to inform others what deals are on offer (real, achievable deals to boot).
back on topic,
The VEA terms are quite clear:- The Offers do not apply to:
- Pay as you go plans
- 30-day SIM only plans
- Household plans
- Sharer price plans (leader plans can be discounted)
- Red Hot plans
- Trade-in plans
- Business plans
- Data plans (except the iPad or tablet offer)
- Broadband plans
- Tablet plans where the one-off cost of the tablet has been discounted
- Any other promotional discount plans
- In conjunction with any other new promotional offer.
Having proof saves any headache later.
I hope you get this resolved in any case.
Then you can use this :money:0 - The Offers do not apply to:

^ if I deleted something it was probably because I realised it was over the top and not really warranted. There's not much more I could have done.
But worth you knowing this as presumably means your EAP won't be applied either?
Thanks, I couldn't access the ts&cs here and was going to check when I got in. Still chuffed with my deal now that Vodafone have restored the 45% discount, but not quite as amazing as I hoped it would end up as!0 -
45% is still way better than 20% so if you're happy - then that's good
I got my deal through online chat and the rep to her credit was very specific that she offered a "standard plan" (in my case i think the "deal" element was the phone being free on that tariff and early upgrade - should be £43.50pm for a 5s) in order the EAP would work.
She explained (which is how I was aware, not by reading the EAP terms first) that EAP won't work on anything that's not a standard plan, and she said if i applied ASAP i'd know before the 14 cool off expiry if it had worked in order I could pull out/complain etc.
I got it approved and confirmed within 48hours.
At least you sorted it out early!0 -
Yeah, wanted to before my next deal. That was the "problem" I had since I wanted an unlimited data tariff which Vodafone don't do. I don't have that, but 7gb is enough and it's worked out better than 3 and T-Mobile. In order to get the 7gb tariff I had to get one discounted. I'm hoping that in 2 years time all networks will have unlimited 4g though!0
