    Vodafone Upgrade Deal 01/09/2014:

    All communication via webchat
24 month contract at £24.40 (after 20% VEA discount)
HTC One M8 Free of charge.
    600 mins, 500MB, unlimited SMS.

More than happy with that, so went for it!

However, order completely messed up by Vodafone. A second line with a different phone number was generated, I didn't ask for this. It was a simple upgrade!

This took hours to sort out. They assure me this will not mess up the VEA discount, but I won't believe that until I see my first bill.

Phone arrived yesterday with the wrong size SIM, despite me confirming when I ordered that I would need a Nano SIM. Another hour yesterday to sort that mess out. Told to wait 3 to 5 days until the Nano SIM arrives. Not looking forward to activating, as they will probably make a mess of that as well.

    ARGHHHHH!!! :mad::mad::mad:

At least it was a good deal though! :)

    Thanks Lee,

Just emailed you. Reply received, code: WRT135 - MSE [#7862185]

Nano SIM has now arrived and I activated it successfully myself using the Vodafone website. I've had no contact from the VEA team yet.

My contract is up fairly soon, and I'd like a note 3 (have the note 2 and its brilliant, unless anyone has any other suggestions).

What kinda ballpark should I be looking at? Had a quick look and best deals as a new customer are around £27 a month.

Just been offered two very good retention deals - one was for £23.95 and the other for £26.68 for a Samsung Galaxy S5 with unlimited minutes and texts and either 4 or 7 gigs of 4g data respectively. When I asked if these included VAT I was told that yes they did, but these prices seem too low and a little too random (i.e. ending in .95 and .68) to be including VAT. Do Vodafone's retention offers usually include VAT?

Did Vodafone come good on this deal? Just been through the usual rigmarole of trying to upgrade and being fobbed off with we "cant discount the S5"..
if the Vodafone rep wants to make contact...
  • I couldn't get as good a deal as the Boss, got the same unlim mins, 4gig of 4g data, S5, for £26.99 and £75 credit towards a new sure signal box. We have two phones. Any thoughts?

  • Hi,

I rang for my PAC code today, intending to change to another network due to my last deal coming to an end.

    I was offered the following:

    4G Sim
    unlimited minutes
    unlimited texts
    1Gb Data
    500 meg WIFI

    12 month sim only deal

    Cost per month £11

I'm happy with that, and have taken the deal.

    Good luck everyone!
