Vodafone Retention Deals

I certainly wouldn't go for a 24 month contract on that deal. Try for 12 months.0

24 Months is a concern to me. I did say to myself several years ago that I would stick to 12 months deals. Perhaps the thought of a new 625 is making me think again. Hmm not sure, Thanks for taking the time to reply,0

I'm not having much luck so just got my PAC code. Spent a huge amount with them the last contract spending £47 a month. Decided to go for a 12 month sim only but they wouldn't offer me any discount just offered what's in the website. Very disappointed 😔0

I'm sorry to see how unhappy you are with the level of service you've received from us.
If you'd like me to get things looked into further, could you email me with your details via the link in our profile
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

I did receive a reply requesting a telephone number to contact. As you can appreciate having misrepresented in the past I cannot trust you to be honest on the telephone so have requested this be concluded in writing.0 -
I requested my Pac code yesterday as a light sim only user currently paying £10.50 a month. The current package is now £9.00 a month.
The (Slightly lower spec) Talktalk vodafone sim only is £3.50 a month and it works in my I-Phone 3GS. I already have their BB and the Wife has a Sim.
Actually signed up on the discounted month to month contract £3.75 to keep my options open.
Anyway Vodafone retentions called within hours and out of sheer interest I asked for the lowest price "Free" Apple I-Phone deal they could do.
Based on the 8Gb 4S on a 24 month deal the best he could drop to was £20
A spend of £480 over the term.
As I pointed out i could buy from Apple at £349 (Worst case and better warranty and unlocked) & Talktalk Sim 24x£3.50 = £433.
Anyone had a lower 4S deal offered ?
I suspect if I want the phone (Not at the moment) they need to drop to circa £17.50.0 -

Hi Skates11,
Thanks for coming back to me.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to locate your account from the details you provided.
As such, could you complete our online form again and continue to quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Kind regards,
Lee

My 24 month 4s contract ends next week (purchased via Dialaphone with cashback), at £37 a month with unlimited minutes, texts and 1GB data.
I'm looking for a 12 month sim only contract and the best the Upgrades dept could offer me was £21 a month. However, I spoke with Retentions earlier, expressing frustration at the poor deal offered. I was offered a £15.50 plan with 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and 1.75GB data, but haggled this down to £12 which I'm very happy with (probably could have got a better deal elsewhere but prefer to stick with Vodafone due to their great bundles plus I have a separate work phone).
So my advice is persist and haggle for the best deal. If no success, call back and speak with someone else.0 -

Lee I have made a further 2 attempts to contact you by email request so far I have not even been acknowledged.
How come you can respond so quickly on the forum but not at all to a direct email?
Am I the only person that is treated this way or is it representative of all Vodafone customers?
If you would rather not reply to emails but be a forum hero then I am happy to start a clean thread. I am in the market for a solicitor to help me reclaim the £460 you are avoiding refunding so it could work out beneficial for the both of us.0 -
Has anybody recently managed to get a sim only retentions deal, that is any better than what is offered on Vodafone's website?
Many thanks.0 -
Hi Skates11,
Thanks for coming back to me.
I'm afraid I've received no further emails from you other than the one which came through earlier this morning.
However, rest assured that I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Kind regards,
Lee
