Vodafone Retention Deals

Hi kah22,
Thanks for your time on the phone yesterday evening and apologies for the misunderstanding here.
To clarify, all of our sales advisers are incentivised to offer our customers the best possible packages for their requirements.
My colleagues who'll be calling you next week look after one of our Twitter feeds where customers can contact us via social media if they're looking for an upgrade or a new number.
While they're not incentivised in the same way as our other sales advisers they are targeted in other ways to ensure that our customers still receive the best possible service.
Thanks,
Lee

Lee arranged a phone call which came this afternoon. During our conversation about possible deals we agreed that a rep would call me back Tuesday, and that they would offer me the best deal possible for they were NOT on a commission basis :rotfl:
Think Vodafone Insider might disagree here!
The number was 08080000133 is that the retention number and are they the ones that can offer the best deals
Never worked in the web team. They have there own capabilites altough it is known internally outbound genreally have most flexibility. For example when the iphone 5 released, only outbound could discount it.0 -
iphone 5 is that discounted as much as s4 or hTC one with outbound or are there more restrictions
No restrictions. It all depends on cost of phone vs revenue. Price wise iphone 5 is a bit easier to deal with at the moment. Remeber the ealier tips to negotiate.
Note for future reference. Try to avoid december to april periods to upgrade. Vodafone always run out of hardware budgets near the end of the financial year. Deals pretty much dissapear and we push you to sim only0 -
Been with Vodafone for a number of years (well my mother has but I look after her account for her).
Last upgrade was :
600 minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB Wi-Fi and 500MB mobile internet, 12 Months, iPhone 4s for £79 (or so).
Upgrade due next month - asked if I could upgrade two weeks early (as want to pass on another phone as a gift) and was told that would have to pay almost £100 - to upgrade 3 weeks early!)
I then asked what upgrade tariff would be available and was offered:
600 minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB Wi-Fi and 500MB mobile internet (yes, the same tariff) - but for over £30 and on a 24 month contract?
Always had good offers with Vodafone and been able to use corporate discount due to my employer but now serious reconsidering!! Got two other lines in the family with o2 and considering taking this one to o2 as well...0 -

Or are they a normal retention team.
Have to get my tactics ready for Tuesday0 -
VodafoneInsider, I'm a bit confused here: are you saying that the web team are an outbound team and therefore have the ability to offer the best bargains.
Or are they a normal retention team.
Have to get my tactics ready for Tuesday
Just another sales team. Outbound is a separate team. To get the best price you want to speak to Outbound. Request your PAC Code and whoever rings you, they are outbound0 -
All this negotiating puts my head in a spin. What’s the best I can realistically expect?
At the moment my bill is £25 plus per month, I use very little data and I would guess no more than 150 texts in the month. My contract is due to end mid June. I would like a phone which is easy to email from.
If I’m not satisfied with an offer, ask for my PAC code and can’t get a better offer what happens then, does Vodafone pull the plug at the end of the contract period?0 -

No, a pac expires after 30 days. If you use it to transfer your number to another network then your contract with voda ends as your new one with the other provider starts.
If you don't use it your contract with voda will continue as normal until you use a pac, or give your 30 days notice.0 -

Hope it is OK to come back so soon. I've been reading back posts and in particular Vodafoneinsider, all about retentions and so forth and was wondering what if.
Let’s say I was looking the iPhone 5 32GB, unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 4 GB. Vodafone’s website advertise it at £52 month with the handset costing £19. With a bit of haggling with Retentions what could I get that for £25 - £30 month with a free handset. Or is that been to optimistic?
Or say I was to ask for the Samsung Galaxy S4 again the site advertises it at 24 months, Unltd minutes, Unltd texts , 1 GB mobile internet data for £37 month again would I be asking to much if I were to look it at say £20 month.
I’ve heardsomewhere that with all the bits and pieces that Samsung has added to theGalaxy that the standard memory that comes with the phone may prove insufficient. Am I correct and what should I look for if I were to be offered one at £20 month. Would I be pushing the boat out to far if I were to ask for 2GB data.
Forgive me if what I've said seems pie in the sky but from what I’m reading here on the board Vodafone retention have a very big scope when dealing with retentions.
Then again maybe I’m been like Vodafoneto - GREEDY!!0
