Vodafone Retention Deals

Hi,
I've also been a customer of VODAFONE for over 10 years and have always managed to upgrade to a deal with which I am happy to accept. This time around, the deals I have been offered are disappointing to say the least. There seem to be many better deals out there so I'm not sure why Vodafone aren't acting on this to keep loyal customers happy and offering them a deal which is competitive. I hate the idea of moving to a non-UK company but to be honest, I can see it happening this time around. Can any of the Vodafone reps on here help me out? Perhaps it's because I want to stay on a 12mth contract (as i have done since I joined Vodafone)?
Regards,
Chris0 -

Easy we give this free in outbounf retentions all the time. You can have 1 addon worth upto £5 for free as long as your on a 12 month contract. Whether with simonly or with handset. Aditional addons of any value half price is allowed0 -

Because statistically they know most people wont move. Vodafone makes like 30 billion a year and its not by being the cheapest network customer loyalty does not gain you a single penny as far as outbound retentions is concerned
Use the method poated yesterday to get the best possible deal and if the advisors dont budge. Vote with your wallet0 -
thanks voda insider
question for you im coming to my upgrade date for one of the 3 contracts on my account. It will begin early june (within 60 days) . I will ask for PAC code early next month in June. I presume i can do this before the 6th which is my upgrade date ? I also presume because i have 3 contracts under my account and this is the first thats coming for renewal ill be given a good deal ?
I want to negotiate a sim only deal so will be called by outbound retentions as in the past.
if i get offered a good deal for 12 months on sim only is any way of asking them to do it for 2 yrs or 3 years to avoid the hassle every year of retentions deal hunting ?0 -
forgot to ask apart from premium numbers, what other addons r there as voda to voda free calls was removed as free add on for my current number last month from my contract as per a text from voda saying they are no longer doing it .0

Nah retention's always do discounts for fixed periods. Virgin Mobile afaik are the only ones who do rolling discounts.
You can ask for your PAC Code at any time! Its the law. It must be provided to you within 2 working hours. Btw if you ever call Vodafone Inbound Retentions and get cut off after asking for your pac code, guess whyThey lose commision for handing out too many
Its best to ask for your pac code, 30 days before your contract end date and to ensure to use it (transfer date on the last date before expiry). PAC codes serve as a 30 day notice period and if you time it right you will not pay for any extra days then needed.0 -

Just get them to do you an Unlimited Tariff.
For example, sim only, we have often done
12 Months, Unlimited Minutes, Texts and 1GB Data with 1 free addon for £13. I think the 08 Minutes is a good addon or for those calling abroad, some international minutes. For someone like myself, extra 1gb of data.
Depends on the manager authorizing it. Some are more happy to bend the rules than others.0 -
Unlimited mins, texts and 2gb data £30 with htc one
300 mins, unlimited texts 250mb data £21 with galaxy fame
First deal is a big discount although I told him I only wanted 600 mins and he can see I hardly text and never go over 500mb so its overkill, however still a good deal and I'd have had that.
2nd deal is double what I'm paying now but with a fame included, looking at offers on the phone, which I don't want regardless, it seems the discount on the htc one is offset by an increase on the samsung deal.
Now that you've been offered the deal, the agent by company procedure MUST note the account on what he offered.
Call back up. Inbound should be able to do it for you as it's been quoted. Just ask for the one you want.
Add Insurance and say you want a lower line rental if you want (insurance can be cancelled after 24 hours)
If the agent says it's not noted, ask for the call to be listened too and raise a complaint. If he insists you take both. Take it and just cancel the one you don't want after receipt of the phone0 -
Hi all,
Hopefully a quick question that someone will know the answer to. I have recently upgraded my wife's contract as it had lapsed and we were going to move away from VF.
The new phone (Xperia Z) is being delivered tomorrow but having done further research and having taken my wife into a phone shop, I think we have gone for the wrong phone.
I know I can send it back, unopened under the 7 day cancellation policy but I am just worried that I will not be able to speak with the retentions team again to do a deal on her preferred handset.
Does anyone know if I can contact the retentions team directly to see what they can offer on the preferred phone?0
