My peak monthly usage over last 2 years:-
    120 mins
    600 txts
    36MB data.
I didnt want to increase my monthly price £22/month but was keen to get a top-end phone if I commit to another 2 years.

My Vodafone retentions offer this week :-
    Sony Xperia Z - free
    300 mins
    U/L txts
    250MB data
    2 yr contract
    £21.75 / month.

I live and work in a 2G area so data is turned off mostly. All apps, news, maps etc sync overnight on wifi. I have BT wifi access for when out n about.
This keeps the price down as the same as my last 2yr contract. Achieved.

I was also offered a Iphone 4S for £20 unlimited everything. As moneysavers we all know that unlimited means little if you dont use shedloads, and like I said, I wanted a top-end handset (Im not an Iphone fan).

    Cheers.

    Hi Lee,

yeah tis a shame that I am That I am leaving after being with Vodafone for ssooo sssooo long, I do prefer to buy British as well hence the reason I have stayed with Voda for so long even though it has been a bit more expensive. Alas this time the difference is too much for me to afford….. :(

Re – paying off early and not having to pay VAT and receiving a 2% discount, that would be ideal for me, also I have a discount on my line rental by £10, the rep on the mentioned that if I wanted to leave before the end date then I would be charged the full line rental till contract close, is this correct?

    Hi blinko,

Thanks for coming back to me.

The agent was correct. Any promotional discounts offered at the time of the original sale wouldn't apply when a customer leaves us early.

    Kind regards,

    Lee

    Hi Lee,

I was wondering if you could take a look at my account and tell me if I decided to sign up with Vodafone for another 12 months on the same monthly plan I am on at the moment what sort of deals you could offer me.

    Cheers

Just spoke to retentions on behalf of a family member, was offered a 20% discount with an iPhone 5.

    The deal we accepted was:

    Free iPhone 5
    unlimited minutes
    unlimited texts
    1GB data

    £33.60/month
    24 month contract

This seemed like a reasonably good deal as the cheapest I'd seen elsewhere for the iphone 5 on unlimited plans was around £30/month with the "cashback by redemption" resellers. Bear in mind family member is a very heavy user - high bills with lots of roaming. Was also offered the iPhone 4S on the same price plan for £26/month.

The best the standard renewals team had offered was £36/month with a £90 charge for the iPhone 5.
  • Good morning.

I have been with vodafone for what must be around 10 years now. Had excellent service up until the last two years when customer service went straight out the window. I have had many issues with the company and although I am reluctant to move given the 8 years trouble free service I recieved, I am about at the end of my tether.

I am 3 months from the end of my contract and am currently on a £42 per month for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB mobile internet.

Using bill monitor, I can see I only really need 600 minutes, 1000 texts and 500MB data.

Whats the best deal I can get, with or without handset? I will not be too worried about moving from vodafone if I can't get a deal I feel is good enough.

    Many thanks

    Hi all

I just spoke to Vodafone twice on 191 and they had awful offers on phones I wanted. I got my PAC code but I guess I wasn't speaking to retentions? Am I right in thinking that I have to wait for them to call me back? About a month ago I called and asked when my contract is up and then had about 3 calls from Vodafone, but these were all during office hours and I weren't able to answer. Don't want to miss the opportunity to stay with a company I have had no issues with but the contracts I was offered up till now were laughable.

    Thanks

Yes, they call you back using an 0808 number as caller id. You need to answer the call as retentions don't take incoming calls. If it's not a convenient time, answer and ask them to call you again later - they usually will.
