PS the 15 years with Vodafone is irrelevant I'm afraid. They only try to keep you if you make them money, that's all. If you don't spend much over your basic tarrif cost each month I wouldn't expect a lot0

Thanks 19lottie82 - I had asked to be put through to Retentions and she answered saying it was Retentions. English speaking to and knew exactly what I was talking about. No offence to Egypt who seem ot always read from a manual script! Yes sorry it is the S3. She said she would put it on my file what she had offered me so it will be interesting when I go back. 3 are offering a better deal with the S3 so something to work on. Will see how I get on during the week when I get chance to call them back.
I'm not a big spender especially the past few weeks as without a phone in working order it hasn't been used as much as normal - however husbands has!0 -
Just to update all on my experience alas, the rep called me back and we weren't able to reach a deal.
Although I was a little confused to hear the following, if I leave before my end contract date I have to pay the difference (no problem) BUT as I have a discount, this isn't taken into account and I must pay the full line rental....Ahhhh you can't win em all, but thanks for trying and you never know Vodafone we may be re-united in the future at some point0 -

Offers are tailored to individual customers, just because one person got a deal it doesn't mean that you will get it.0 -
My 24 month contract with Vodafone is due to end in the middle of June. At present there are two phones on my account: my own and my sister.
When the contract ends we want to go our own separate ways - at least as far as mobile phones are concerned.
My question is what do we have to do to split this one account covering two phones into two individual accounts?
How and when is the best time to do this?0 -

Hi blinko,
Although it's a shame to see that you'll be leaving us it's good to know that you'll consider returning in the future.
Also, just to clarify that if you leave us early you'll only pay the line rental minus VAT and less a further 2% discount. My 24 month contract with Vodafone is due to end in the middle of June. At present there are two phones on my account: my own and my sister.

Hi kah22,
If your sister is looking to remain with us it'll be better if she agreed her upgrade first and then transferred ownership of her line into her own name afterwards.
If you need any further help just email me with the details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it will take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

The problem with Vodafone is there's no loyalty towards customers who have been with them for years anymore, its all about making a profit out of you. They used to always offer me really good upgrade deals which is why I have stayed with them for over 10 years but now I can find a better deal than they have offered me if I rejoin as a new customer.
I have had a couple of calls now from different departments and each time they offer me a worse deal than the person who called previously I'm like why are you calling me!
As soon as I said I didn't want to committ to a 24 month contract, that was it no interest in retaining me at all I basically got told to go elsewhere.
I guess Vodafone are now only interested in people who will commit to making them a nice profit over a 24 month deal.0 -

Hi Lee,
yeah tis a shame that I am That I am leaving after being with Vodafone for ssooo sssooo long, I do prefer to buy British as well hence the reason I have stayed with Voda for so long even though it has been a bit more expensive. Alas this time the difference is too much for me to afford…..
Re – paying off early and not having to pay VAT and receiving a 2% discount, that would be ideal for me, also I have a discount on my line rental by £10, the rep on the mentioned that if I wanted to leave before the end date then I would be charged the full line rental till contract close, is this correct?
