Thanks for this. Due to a dexterity problem through dystonia I cannot use my N72 easily, in fact its broken and doesn't seem much point fixing. I would like to change to an N8 and am due early upgrade next month I think but they won't let me do so now, and keep charging me. I have an iphone with them, am a lifelong, well since first mobile, customer, why can't they be more flexible? Any help/advice welcome.0

I reckon you've got a good deal there, especially compared to my one (posted earlier).0 -
Emailed the Web Relations Team on Friday afternoon to see what I could get- got a phone call this afternoon from a chap called Ben, offering me
HTC Desire S
300 mins
Unlimited texts
500mb data
for 20/month
I was anticipating a 24 month contract, but was also offered the alternative of an 18 month contract with an additional £30 for the phone, which I took. Pretty pleased with that, and the whole process couldn't have been easier, nor could Ben have been more helpful.0 -
Two months out of contract, rang today said I was happy with my current deal
18 month contract
600 mins
unlimited texts
500 internet
Was offered free Galaxy s 11, £30 a month, same as I'm paying, with six months half price. I'm pleased with that, if I'd have upgraded on line they wanted £66 for phone.
This deal sounds great, I would be really happy if I could get myself one.
Thats an effective cost of £25ppm - totalling £450 over the term, when all the other people I have seen looking for galaxy s2's have been hitting a £600 required spend over the contract term. The same as all networks are offering as standard - £25 for 24 months for this phone.
Could you tell me if you had to haggle much for this, or was it first line retentions who helped you out? (as in did you have to say you are leaving, request your pac, and call back multiple times until you finall reached the 'gate keeper' who can do more than just quote web offers.
Im going to try my luck with the twitter deals team firts and see how i get on0 -
As I said I was out of contract, but no haggling, I just said I was happy with my plan but would like new phone, he asked which one, I said Galaxy s 11 and he said yes. He said I was entitled to loyalty bonus (no idea what that is) and six months half price line rental.if i had known then what i know now0
-
A loyalty bonus eh, maybe thats the magic word
will see how I get on and report back, Salli9 - you are my benchmark!0 -
WRT came through for me too. Happy to keep current handset as it's less than 1 year old so now sim only. £10 per month 300 min, UL texts and 1GB internet for 12 months.

So the vodafone deal team could only offer me
galaxy s2
600mins
unltd txts
1gb data
1gb wifi
24 months
£31pm
there is better to be had on the web elsewhere, so unless retentions offer me anything (deal team told me they were more flexible than the web retentions team) I will be leaving.0
