Sounds like another deal at £600. I was offered and accepted the following

    Galaxy S2 Free
    1200 minutes
    Unlimited texts
    1GB internet
12 month contract £40 per month
    Total spend £480

I did the upgrade instore and it took quite a bit of messing about with the system for it to accept the deal but the girl managed it. Lots of talk on the vodafone boards about them being out of stock for both web orders and telesales.

Awesome phone though and well worth having.

That's a great deal! Which store did you get that from or what was required to get it?

    Just my local Vodafone store.

It wasn't all that difficult. Looked at what was available for new customers and then started to get the price down from there. Maybe not a deal to suit everyone but I really wanted a 12 month contract.

Cool thanks, I'll give it a go and see how I get on :)

Went to my local store this morning and they couldn't get anywhere near that deal! Were actually interested to know how you got it as it might help their sales numbers (apparently they're getting killed by online sales at the moment!)

Was there any particular code or name of the deal?

    I’d appreciate a little advice.

I have two mobiles with Vodafone, one belongs to my sister the other to me, both of which are now out of contract.

My old phone broke so yesterday I asked Vodafone what they could do for me on my own phone, they offered me a BlackBerry Curve 9300, £15 month, 300 minutes and unlimited texts plus 250 GB, to be honest that’s more than enough for me.

However, the confirmation email said £20 a month. When I queried this I was told it was a £20 month contract less £5 discount with a net cost, therefore, of £15. Don’t understand what that’s done that way.

Anyway the BlackBerry has just arrived and feels nice but having had a few hours now to look up the speck it seems disappointing in ways: a pretty small screen, an average camera and video, low resolution screen, and no radio.

What are member’s opinions of the BlackBerry Curve 9300?

The BlackBerry has not been tampered with, so can be posted back as new if need be.

The sister has told me that she would also like to upgrade her phone, and again we’re not bothered about been tired into a 24 month contract.

Considering that I’m prepared to renew two contracts for 24 months is there a better deal I can ask for. In this regards I'm not talking extra minutes I'm more concerned it getting the two best phones I can. I do appreciate 'best' is a subjective term, still opinions welcomed.

A relative has given me an old Vodafone and that will do me for a while. I know I’ve seven days to make up my mind about a new contract.

ps I know Heidi from the Web Relations Team reads these post if she wishes to pm me then she has my permission - hope this doesn't break guidlines

Depends what kind of phone you want, but I would've thought you could easily get something like the HTC Desire for £20/month for 24 months - using the online upgrade I can currently get the galaxy s2 (arguably one of the best handsets available presently) for free on £25/month for 24 months.

Best to contact the web relations team and see what they can offer you but have a look around the web for different deals that are available and also what handset you're interested in.

No idea about codes etc. It did take the girl quite a long time for the system to accept the deal. They can do things more than one way apparently.
