Pleased this is not the vodafone forum otherwise this thread would have been closed as soon as anyone mentioned deals......try it.

I gave all my details in an e-mail and they phoned my wife's phone asking for my number surely T-mobile can't be this bad?

Are there any T-mobile reps on this forum who could give us their input?

    Hi dkemp1,

I’m positive we can get this resolved for you. Please can you email Vodafone Web Relations Team directly and make sure you put the code WRT135 in the subject to ensure it reaches us.

Shaun, I’ve passed your details onto the Team to get in touch.

Bubblesmoney, we’re here to help both ex customers and current customers! If you or anyone else would like to get in touch, you can email us as above.

We ask for MSE names so that when we receive the email, we can see what you’ve posted and therefore gain an understanding of any issues we need to resolve.

You don’t have to provide this if you prefer not to, it just speeds everything up.

Mmuk99, please get in touch with us (again as above) and we can look into this for you.

    Kind Regards,

thanks will get in touch as i dont know if and when my upgrade desire x 2 is supposed to be delivered by three. i have my PAC codes so if i get a good deal (with equivalent / better internet usage limit) and a guranteed delivery date then will move to vodafone as my international calls have better direct billing via vodafone as vodafone is present in the countries i call to, so would be saved the hassle of calling through other local diversion numbers like i do now. i was with vodafone before for many years and was happy with their network which never used to drop like my three does now and i never had a 'emergency numbers only' message on my vodafone but do see it often enough on three and gets sorted only by pulling the batteries out on my present 2 phones on three network (before i have to do it all over again when it recurs).

Going to leave Vodafone...again. Admittedly still being with them is my own fault as I got my PAC code two or three months ago but then got side-tracked because of assorted family illnesses and the chuffing volcano.
Having asked for it and, to be fair to them, texted with it within 48 hours...I now keep getting an automatic call asking me to take part in a survey so they can improve their customer services. Needless to say I haven't completed it.
Going somewhere with a better deal...to be frank, I am not sure whether I would stay even if they had the best deal!

    Hi Hefferlump,

I'm very sorry to hear that you're looking to leave us. Is there nothing that we could do to change your mind?

As you requested your PAC over 30 days ago, it will need to be requested again as the code is only valid for 30 days. We will be happy to help you with this, if you would like to contact us via Web Relations Team - Vodafone UK.

(When contacting, please quote the code WRT135 in the subject line. In the main message body, please include a link to this thread and your user name.)

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    All the best,

Just to update! I have finally agreed a deal with retentions, which matches what I had been offered by another provider. After explaining that in the past, I had been misled when agreeing a contract, I was informed that it is now policy to send a text confirming all of the details.
Sure enough, almost the instant I came off the phone, I received a text, confirming everything and giving the full name of the representative concerned. During our conversation I was also told that if I had any queries it would be possible to make direct contact with the said rep. The text made me feel a bit more confident about accepting the offer.
I hope all turns out as it seems; I had resigned myself to leaving vodafone, after being told they couldn't match the offer I had been given elsewhere. After taking another call from them yesterday, they have indeed matched that offer. Now I just have to wait for the phone to come back into stock!
Fingers crossed, and I do hope everyone else finds what they are looking for :)
  • Can someone explain the science behind the upgrade deals offered online.
I currently pay about £16 per month for 125 mins 250 texts and unlimited internet.

If I choose phone only upgrade and stick to 12 months contract length I am offered the following

    Nokia N97mini
    Voda upgrade cost £277.90
    Nokia Shop Price £389
    Discount £111.10

    Play.com Price £339.99
    Discount £62.09

    Nokia X6
    Voda upgrade cost £148.65
    Nokia Shop Price £299
    Discount £150.35

    Play.com Price £279.99
    Discount £131.34

Obviously Play are discounting the phones at different rates but the monthly discount varies from a little over £5 all the way up to £12.50. Very confusing.

Going for a plan change only and keeping my phone (which might be the preferred option seeing as the Vodafone N97mini is still a firmware version behind) the best deal is 300 mins, 3000 texts for £10, adding internet at £5 takes me to virtually what I am paying now (save about £12 in the year). Seems that it's more beneficial to take a new phone even if it isn't really wanted and stick it on ebay.

Transferring the same discount (between £110 and £150) to my current plan would mean knocking off £9.25 to £12.53 per month meaning I'd be paying only £3.50 to £6.75 a month. Not sure Vodafone would be happy with that. Though it might be possible to do it this year when I get to next year they can't do it again otherwise they'd be paying me to have a contract. But I'm pretty sure they'll still offer me a phone at a hefty discount. Can anyone explain?
