Vodafone Retention Deals

I have e-mailed Vodafone several times over two months and not heard a word from them, I thought this might have been a better tactic seeing as every time I speak with an operator on the phone about upgrading I get different stories and the website does not offer the same deals as new customers.0

Well I give up. 48hrs after being promised a reply and still nothing (post #2951). It's quite obvious that as a long-standing customer, I am not important enough to keep and so I shall go elsewhere once I return home this week.0

Good morning everyone,
robbiekhan – I’m pleased to hear that you’ve been contacted and you’ll be getting your phone soon. Enjoy!
three1ne – Could you let me know the email reference number that you have received previously, so I can link up your details to your user name and arrange for someone to get in touch early next week please?
Fonesdotcom – If you would like to contact us via – Web Relations – Vodafone UK, we will be able to help you further with this. When getting in touch, please include the code MMM135 in the subject line. In the main message body, please include a link to this thread and your user name.
Dkemp1 – I’m concerned that you haven’t received any responses. We reply to all of the emails that we receive and if you could let me know the reference number that you received in auto response to the mail that you sent. I will get this chased up for you and make sure that we get in touch asap. Thanks.
simon1 – I’ve requested that one of our team gets in touch with you asap.
Thanks,
Espi

Thanks Espi!
I have always e-mailed Vodafone via the web page and when I said I have heard nothing from Vodafone over the last two months that also meant no recognition that I have actually sent the mail via their dedicated web page, e.g. ref number.
Not heard a thing and to be quite honest, it very much depends who you get when you speak on the phone, I can't begin to tell you the numerous different stories I got on the same day by very different people about the HD2 a while back!
Thanks0 -
Be wary of Vodafone + iPhone, only get it online so you have a return opportunity:

Do the vodafone web relations team on here help only existing customers? or do they liase with ex-vodafone customers (ex vodafone customer who was with vodafone for a few years, with a view to getting then back to vodafone) to give them price match / better deals via their web enquiry with ref to mse code mentioned on this thread.
Also does one HAVE to disclose their MSE name on the message sent on vodafone webpage even if we mention the code given in this thread. Some might not too keen on giving any info more than actually needed. what relavance is our MSE names for making good offers if we include the reference number mentioned on this thread and make a query on vodafone contact us page.
Why i ask is that when i left vodafone for 3 network a few years ago, vodafone retentions team later contacted me and agreed to price match and give same deal as three. If they had done that before i agreed to move to three network then i would have been saved the trouble and they would have kept a valued customer as they wouldnt have made the offer if they didnt want to keep my business with them.
Why do networks avoid giving good deals and only offer them after they actually make the decision to leave and accept another deal elsewhere. Wouldnt it make more sense to keep valued accounts rather than !!!! them off and then try to entice them back.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
