I think i am one of the unlucky ones too.My contract is finishing the end of May due to Vodafone stopping the price plan i am on (anytime 225) and i rang up to say i wasn't happy with the alternative they were offering me.I asked to be put through to cancellations to see if they would offer me anything else. They offered me a few things but to be honest the phones they offered don't seem to be the best and i can get better online myself.I declined and said i would be sending a letter giving 30 days notice.
Rang again today to get my PAC code and to see if they would try to offer me anything else but the bloke said the code would be in the post asap and that was it.Been with them about 5 years and they dont seem as if they want to keep me so its cheerio vodafone.
Would have been happy with the N95 with 100 mins and 50 texts some people have been offered but thats life.:(
i think you wait for an outbound caller to call you know0 -
They rang me yesterday, I rang back today, just said I wanted extra minutes and and more texts.
They offered me 300 mins and a 1000 texts for £30 or 150 mins and 500 texts for £25.
I've got 50 extra minutes, 250 extra texts plus the phone for for the same as I'm paying now.
which department did you ring, i thought it was the outbound team which gives the best deals0 -
When I rang Vodafone today, man said it was "promotions" there was a note on my account, he mailed whoever and asked them to ring me.
The man did say he couldn't give give me N95 as an upgrade, they couldn't issue them.
It is the first time in four years Vodafone have contacted me about an upgrade, usually it's me begging to them.0 -
I sent my cancellation letter on Monday and the retentions department started to phone me on Thursday. Spoke to them yesterday and I can get the same deal I got last year from the retentions department which was a free phone + 200xnet mins + stop the clock + 500 texts for £15 for the first 9 months then £30 for the final 3 months of the 12 month contract.
I really fancy getting the Nokia N95 8GB, but they won't give me this phone on that tariff, the best they can offer me is 100xnet mins + 50 texts for £20pm on a 12 month contract.
Told them I have to think about it so waiting to hear back from them.0 -

100 mins and 50 texts £20 plus N95 free
150 mins and 100 texts £25 plus N95 free
200mins and 100 texts £25 plus N95 free
200 mins and 100 texts £27 plus N95 free and unlimited mobile internet.
I went for the £27 so i can let my new N95 flex its internet muscles:j
Thanks for all the info everybody posted.0 -
tweatee, is that on 12 or 18 month contract?
think it's about £7 for the so called unlimted (it's still fair usage policy, i believe) internet. so no saving on the internet then
but not a bad deal really.
when requesting for PAC, was that via phone or do you have to put it in wiritng and send off?0 -

I pushed them for quite a while and i could tell they would not budge any further.
To be honest i am quite happy with the deal as i tried to get the internet free but they would not go any lower than £2 and i got the phone that i wanted.
I asked for the PAC code over the phone yesterday afternoon. It took them less than 24hrs to get back to me.As i only had 2 weeks before my contract ended i didn't have the nerve to say no to this offer just in case they didn't get back to me.
Hope this helps.0 -
I got a call from vodafone on the 7th, saying that they would like to give me an additional 25mins to my normal 225mins+100mins @£25, making it 250mins+100mis @£25/month. I accepted their offer and enquired as to how it works. The guy said that my 225mins starts from the midnight of the 7th of may, that's the 8th of may, and that the minutes i have spent so far (1-7th of may will not be counted)...i asked him many times whether he was sure, and he said he was. He said that whatever i don't spend b4 midnight of the 7th cannot be rolled forward, so i should use as much as possible off (i asked him again if he was sure, and that there i hope were no hidden charges, he affirmed it this). And so i made as many calls as i could before midnight!
I normally check my usage online, but they've been having technical difficulties, i just decided to call 44555 yesterday to check the usage, it said i have spent 104mins (still under 225 or 250mins) but i am going to be charged £6.01 for extra usage. that rang bells in my head and i called customer care, it seems that i was misinformed and that the 250mins was prorated (the guy that called me, didnt mention this) and that i have actually spent, 292mins not 104mins, so basically i cant use my phone till the end of the month or else i will charged. They've offered to credit the £6.01, i am still arguing with them as to how i will be able to use my phone without charge till the end of the month, or else, i will cancel (contract ends in feb), i pay till feb, use them till feb and they should automatically cancel me. They are trying to offer me some form of credit but the phone keeps cutting off - the first guy offered £40 and now the new guy is saying it's £20, i have not accepted the £20, told him to go and sort it out with the first guy as i was offered £40.
I dont even know how many minutes £40/£20 will give me. I usually dont have a problem with them, but this is ridiculous. Even if this is sorted, i will definitely rethink renewing my contract with them.
Has this happened to anyone? Apologies, just realised how long this is!0 -
My vodafone contract runs out in two weeks time so requested my pac code on Friday. They offered me a pretty poor deal at that point so I declined. Got another call 24 hours later. They offered....
Free N95 8gb
250 mins
100 texts
£15.00 a month
I said I'd accept the deal if they threw in a bluetooth headset and in car charger. (I only asked for this because I knew other people on this thread had got the headset/charger as well)
Looking forward to getting the N950 -
I got the same Nokia N95 250 mins 100 texts and free internet for my existing £15pm. My wife and daughter opted for the Samsung Soul-daughter is having 500 texts and 150 mins rather than 250 mins and texts all for £15pm each-We have 3 contracts. This all follows the sending of cancellation letter requesting PAC code and then waiting for a call.
Phones to arrive next Tuesday-I have written down the exact content of the call just in case there is any dispute re the deal I have been offered.0
