You always have to to get anything decent.

It also helps if you're genuinely serious about leaving.

Hi there folks - I'm back...

Really annoyed with the deal my other half has been offered. Best she's getting is 600 mins, unltd texts and passport @ the bog standard £15 pm for 12 months.

Think will have to suggest she plays the 'request PAC' game...!!

After 6 weeks of to and fro - several calls a week from Vodafone asking why I was leaving etc. etc.

I've activated my new 3 PAYG SIM and applied my PAC code - it's a sad day but there no point in paying 25 p/m when I can get what I need for far less and right now I can resist the shiney new toy appeal since there's not really any exciting handsets that aren't an overpriced arm and 2x leg ...:D

Didn't particularly want to pull the trigger on this but sadly bye bye Vodafone. :wall:

I got a HTC Tattoo free on a £15 p/m, 18 month contract with Voda just before Christmas - only got it from their outbound retentions, inbound wouldn't better their deal and arranged my pac. Expect a retention call before your pac is issued.

Yeah this is true. I got several calls from various depts. (~6 in total I think) "why do you want to leave ..." etc. I too had ordered 2 Pacs. Transfer for my main should complete today I'll probably ditch the other as I don't use it though.
  • I'm waiting for Voda to answer my email I sent about two weeks ago, about my contract expirey date. I think that I will be asking for my PAC, if they cant be bothered to reply to a simple request, what will they be like if I had a reall issue?

less than 24 hours in, got a phone call from Vodafone asking me why i wanted to leave, i assume retentions. plain and simple, i have the option for Orange friends and family discount via a friend.

they said ok, will get PAC sent out soon.

not evening trying to ask what discount.
  • Just agreed 12 month SIM only deal for 600 mins, unlimited text and web. 9 months @ £10, remaining 3 months at £20. Effective cost per month = £12.50 for duration of contract.

Now, just a small matter of my sim-free HTC Desire turning up in a month's time...

I got that after retentions called me back - like negotiations you may not get the best offer straight off.

yeah is this offer still available?

    I think it is ended.
