    Hello Web Relations Team,

I have had no luck with renewal of my contract, everytime I get through to your upgrades team they cannot offer me anything appart from what is on your website.... hopeless.

I have been a customer now for over 5 years with 2 contracts ongoing, I am looking for a good deal for the Iphone 3G, Im not wanting to pay upfront for this phone but I am willing to pay 30 mnth on 18 mnth contract.

I hope someone can contact me that can at least try and keep my business.

    thanks

    Mark

    My reply -

Due to contractual obligations with Apple, the iPhone price plans are fixed and are not flexible, we can only offer the same to any customers on these tariffs.

    Best wishes

Have been a vodafone customer for going on 10 years and have to say to date their service not only in terms of coverage and call centres has been second to none.
This year, for the first time, I am so infuriated with one particular pushy rep that I will be taking my business elsewhere. Have a £20 a month contract but average spend is nearer £30 a month.
Called up a while ago to see what was on offer only to have offers given to me that were more expensive than what was quoted on the voda webpage. Asked for a pac code as was willing to move to another supplier at a cheaper rate.
Retentions called me and offered me a deal on a storm but I said I wasn't familiar with the handset and wanted to check it out in a shop. Got "this deal is only valid for today and vodafone are the best and cheapest and you won't find better elsewhere". When I said i wanted to at least play with the handset in shop the basically rang off. My pac expired as I was overseas spending yet more money with vodafone and now I am going to have a look around at other operators. Just thought you might like to know about this arrogant pushy "salesperson" and wouldn't imagine this is the type of image vodafone would be wanting to portray..

    Hi trashcansinatra,

We certainly don't want our sales staff coming across as being pushy at all and I can only apologise that your experience left you with this impression.

If you'd any further help at all with this feel free to email the Web Relations Team via the Contact us form on our website.

When sending the email you'll just need to state the code WRT135 in the subject line and include a link to this thread together with your MSE username so we can identify you.

    Many thanks,

I’m currently a couple of weeks from the end of an 18 month Vodafone contract with 700 mins, 250 texts, unlimited land line calls and unlimited internet for £35/month. My average usage over the contract has been about a third of that although I use the internet daily...

...I’m really not impressed with so called customer service at Vodafone when you phone up. In contrast I went into a different Vodafone store today and the guy there was really helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and offered the phone that customer services said would be £138 for free but he couldn’t downgrade the contract and I was advised to go onto a 30 day SIM only contract at £20/mth and keep my existing phone.

There certainly is a lot of inconsistency in the offers they have which make it more confusing. Looking at some of the deals people have been offered recently I’m pretty annoyed that they haven’t even come close to matching any of them. They don't seem to understand that there are other providers and deals out there and they need to be competitive if they want to keep customers.

    Hi NorthernMonkey,

I can assure you that our sales teams will do everything there're able to keep our customers with us, however, sometimes they come across instances where they're simply not able to match what the customer is looking for or has seen elsewhere.

It's worth bearing in mind that they are incentivised to do the very best they can so if they're not able to match a deal seen.offered elsewhere then it must be an outstanding one.

That said, if you're still looking for some help just let us know by emailing us using the Contact us form on our website.

When sending the email you'll just need to state the code WRT135 in the subject line and include a link to this thread together with your MSE username so we can identify you.

    Dear Web Retentions Team,

I am due an upgrade on 9th Jan, I have asked for my PAC code as the signal in my house is terrible and I want an iphone so have decided to move to o2 because of the poor signal. The deals with vodafone seem better but I am moving purely based on the fact that my signal is very poor. Can you help?

I live in Newry in Northern Ireland

    Thanks

    Hi armaghgirl,

We offer something called Vodafone Access Gateway (soon to be called Sure Signal) which you can find more details on here.

Should you be interested just send us an email using the link and instructions post above.

    Thanks,

Hi Ben @ Web relations team,

Having been a Vodafone customer for a few years running 2 contracts, I called up today as one of the contracts is up for renewal. The guy I spoke to basically told me that all deals he would do are the same as on the website and that he could not offer me anything better to try to retain my custom. Are Vodafone not interested in retaining customers as when I asked for my PAC code to leave he said ' Already done, it will be with you in 24 hrs'. Not even a hint of trying to keep me!!!

    Hi Towner,

While I naturally can't promise what the outcome will be we'd certainly be happy to take a closer look at things for you here.

To get in touch with us with your details just send us an email by following the steps I posted above to NorthernMonkey.

Many thanks and look forward to hearing you soon.

Yes same deal for 12 months, best ive seen at that price :T ( 600 min, unlimited texts £10 a month ) sim only

Can't understand what you're so happy about. They offered me a decent phone plus 500 mins and 100 text for 9.79/month, I'm sure I could have got the 600mins unlimited texts if i had pushed them for this price and a free phone!
  • well, i was on vodafone 30 day contract on £15 p/m, wanted to downgrade to £10 p/m i was told in store I had to cancel and change to pay as you talk first then upgrade to £10. not happy with that where i cannot just downgrade like that, have to go through hassle etc. so i did change to pay as you talk but wanted my pac code because i changed my mind and want to go o2. so i rang up and asked for it then was told my number was a special number and i needed to in store to provide some id then ask the staff to ring and get my pac code. i went in store, provided my id, rang the porting team (from in store) and they then said they cannot generate a pac code within the first 30 days of my pay as you talk account! what the hell.. the person on the phone said to me to tell the staff in store to leave a note on my account saying id checked and next time i ring i dont need to go in store anymore.. ok then (after 30 days) i rang them today and asked if they can provide me with any better deals than the ones you have online, they said no, and i asked for pac code they told me i need to go in store and provide ID again! i told them about the note on my account that i dont need to go instore and give id again, she said i do have to. so.. basically my crap experience with vodafone.. a nightmare past few months!! NOT happy at all

    Hi There

mingj_14 - I'd really like to investigate this for you and so that you get a resolution once and for all.

If you send me an email from the Contact Us page with a link to this thread and your username I'll be able to see what's happened. When you send the email you'll need to make sure you include the code WRT135 in the subject line so that it routes to my team.

alir!!!2 - I've just checked our email inbox and the last email we received that we received (that wasn't a reply to one of our own) was at 14:36 today. If you've sent your email after that, it looks as though we haven't recieved it.

If you have the reference number though we'll be able to track it down if it got misrouted.

    All the best
