Vodafone Retention Deals

Has anyone managed to get a decent retention deal on a storm
Thanks0 -
ssgtsnelly re porting of numbers. I have read somewhere that it might be possible to do this after you have signed up. You can do a vodafone internal transfer of numbers.
So you would do a first internal transfer onto a vodafone payg sim then transfer it later to your new vodafone contract.0 -
cheers for that Just will have a look into it :T0

I am about to upgrade in the next few days or so. I'm sure it's been mentioned before but I cant find it in the last few pages, to get the best deals do you speak to the "If youre thinking of leaving Vodafone" 191 then option 3 then 2 to get the best deals or do you still have to ask that department for your PAC and someone will phone you back?0

Just managed to haggle myself the following:
Nokia 5800 (Free)
500 mins
100 txts
£14.57 per month (For the full 18 months)
18 month contract
It's the best I was offered. I had to speak to about 5 different people before I got such a good deal! So I took it!

Sounds like a good deal. I am in the process of haggling with them at the moment and the best they have come up with is £17.50 per month for the same minutes and texts as you for 18 months but no phone. Obviously I need to keep trying.0 -
I was due an upgrade on the 5th, I had been looking aorund for a while as Im a bit of a tech head and had my eye on the Nokia 5800, I am also only on a £20 contract with 75mins and 500 texts. I was also told I was a gold customer a few months back, but I presume it really counts for nothing.
Anyway I got a call on the 4th from the uprages department, asking "If I would be looking to get a new phone today ?" I played dumb and went through the rigmerole of was I on the best plan etc and then got offered the Nokia navigator, said no point as I have sat nav, then got offered the Samsung Amarni, and said I didnt like slide phones, then asked about the 5800 ? Was told it was out of stock anyway but if it was I would need to pay £55. Said not to worry I will probably just go PAYG. More talking about price plans, but no phone.
Had a look around and Phones4U have the 5800 on a £15 contract with 0mins (dont really use them anyway) and 3000 texts for free, and theres £30 cashback, so I rang the disconnection number and after half an hour got through to a chap who was very helpful and freindly said there was no way anyone in vodafone could match the deal even if they wanted to as it was a loss leader. That was without the £30 cashback. He was quite happy to give me the address to send my disconnection request off.
Ordered my phone yesterday morning and it arrived today :-)0 -

Bad move. Once you give your disconnection notice thats when they pick up the pace and give you the best deals.0 -
Well it's highly unlikely they would have matched or even come near to the deal he wanted anyway because it was a cashback deal. They can't and don't even bother trying to match them.Bad move. Once you give your disconnection notice thats when they pick up the pace and give you the best deals.
I have noticed with Vodafone that they can't seem to offer decent packages if you don't want a new phone or want more a lot more texts than minutes. Weird!
O2 were happy to let me have my £35/month contract (600 mins 500 txts) for £5/month on a rolling basis if I didn't take a phone. Maybe Vodafone have agreements with the phone manufacturers to sell more phones with their contracts. I should say shift more phones, because I'm getting my 5800 free.0 -
Anyone managed to get aTocca Ultra as thats what i'm looking for my upgrade
thanks0
