I make the non-microwave version of that Sweet Potato curry of Jamie's all the time, never get bored of it.
  • Thanks atrixa. I thought I would have a go at the microwave one to see if it saves time and energy costs.

Thank goodness work is finished for this week. Just taking puppy dog out for walk 2. DS and gf are both at work. Managed 2 loads of washing both dried outside. The weather has been so mild and sunny. Heating is off. More washing and packing lined up for tomorrow.

Have just fed the dog and I have a cup of tea. Plans for today are to walk her later, load of washing to be done and hung out, then I am going to see my friend who used to live in the next street from me. Haven’t seen her for months so not much change if I move away. We are going to the local garden centre which usually has a lovely Christmas display. My purse will stay firmly shut!

I put my winter duvet on last night with clean bedding. I washed the summer quilt & it line dried so that can be packed away.

    I have a £2 money off coupon arrived from mr T 🤗

Latest news on operation Escape to the country is that DF has the quotes from the builder and damp specialist and he is sending them to me. I am waiting on searches and as yet we have no documents from the sellers.  (3 weeks since offer accepted).

Feeling really tired today. Where did the weekend go?

Have walked the dog around the pond and nature reserve. I felt too exhausted to walk her up on the field with the ball where she rolls in the wet grass and has to be towelled dry. She can have a longer walk this afternoon. DS & gf will walk her tonight.

Didn’t spend anything on Saturday but enjoyed seeing my friend and all the Christmas decs. Sunday I took my no dog friend to aldee as she wanted to get one of their double drawers air fryer but they had sold out. I got a few grocery items. All meals from stores and freezer.

Waiting for damp and building quotes in post, should arrive later this week, then I will check back with my solicitor and see if we have anything from the sellers solicitor before contacting the EA.

MOT and service booked in for next week. Money is already put aside for this. May need new brake pads and disks too. Not done many miles so will see what they say before getting them done.

  • I was thinking the same about the weekend and mine is double yours!

Please try and get some rest after work. A mix of buying, stresses, winter and other things are zapping your energy.

  • Just back from dog walk 2 and it poured with rain again. I must buy some new waterproof trousers. 2 wet pairs of jeans hung over radiators and heating put on for 15mins so hopefully they will dry.

Quotes have arrived £7480. Not sure how this works do I ask for half ?

IT issues all day gave me a headache so I crashed out and slept for an hour. Feel better after some fresh air. It was sunny when we set off 🌧
