I haven’t planned anything yet as it is all now depending on the house move.I drove to aldee this morning as I could manage an emergency stop. However after shopping & driving home my foot is swollen and aching again so I will ask for the rest of the week working from home. Lovely sunny warm evening. DS & his gf are having a bbq so I put a couple of medallion steaks on the bbq. Had one for tea with baked potato done in microwave & watercress salad. The other will be sliced thinly for stir fry tomorrow.DF got home safely with Auntie & she has picked up her car & driven on home. DF said it was so cold he has put the heating on 😳0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

BBQ sounds like a good treat on a weekday evening.
It's colder up north compared to where you are and with the house being empty for a few days the overall warmth would have faded too.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
I am working from home for the rest of this week so that will save on petrol. The surveyor has just phoned to check who they need to contact to arrange the survey on the place I am buying. Have not been impressed so far with their organisation. I told them several times already to contact the estate agent of the seller.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Good news about WAH and the resulting savings
Hope the surveyor improves, but at least it's only a one off use of them and not ongoing through the process.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Thanks MF. They were recommended, but during one call I heard someone pick up the phone & I could hear background noise then the phone was put down again. When I finally got through to someone they seemed distracted and it must have been 5 times they asked me for the address of my purchase. Hopefully their surveying skills are excellent!Sunny morning after the rain last night but not expected to last & rain forecast again this afternoon. I need to go and collect a repeat prescription later. The chemist is at the end of my road so not far to hobble if I can’t get anyone to collect it for me. Thank goodness I get free medsI have had a text from the GP and they now want another blood test to check my para thyroid so I have booked that online for next Friday morning when I am on a late shift and don’t start work until lunch time. They only seem to do blood tests in the mornings & there are non available this Friday.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Was it anything in particular or just everything at once? You did well to carry on.
That's a great basket of goodies. Rest up and the pain should ease a little.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Thanks MF. Managed a short walk across the road to the park with the dog this morning.Finished work & phoned surveyor. On 30/5/22 they said there was availability w/c 20 June. I signed and paid 31/5/22 but survey is not booked until 14 July! Am very disappointed but they have confirmed if a cancellation comes up they will contact seller to go in sooner. Phoned estate agent of seller and they were very understanding and said seller is ok with the wait & told me not to worry.Feel a bit fed up 🙁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Would it be worth calling a few others to see if they can get in sooner? It's just a one off job and not ongoing, therefore whether you like them or not is of no consequence.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
