The utilities should be cheaper when you move.
Savings look good, you've done well.
Hope your swelling goes down and you enjoy the weekend.

Plans today are for a gentle stroll on the wildlife common & coastal path calling at the pub. Then taxi back.  I will insist on paying but it may not get me anywhere. This is the last sunny day in the forecast so will make the most of it ☀️
Sun was shining but there was a lovely breeze yesterday. DF drove us to the pub at the end of the coastal path and we then had a walk, then returned to the pub and had a sandwich, chips and a drink £7.49. DF paid. The sea was so blue & we saw so many different birds 😁

Home & a snooze then helped DS in the garden. (Mostly supervising from a chair 😆)  DF & Auntie came back around 6pm & we had Chinese delivered. I ordered online and paid by card £40.70. Then Auntie insisted on giving me £40 cash! So I have still not managed to pay for anything yet! I will try and pay for something today. It’s nice not to have to pay sometimes but I don’t want them to pay for everything.

DF has offered to help DS in the garden today and there is supposed to be a local jubilee fete and car boot sale from 12 so I thought I would wander over with Auntie. We have had some rain in the night but it seems to be clearing up so I am hoping it will be dry and still go ahead. I might get DS to go up in the loft & get my crutches down to try & keep the weight off my foot. Ankle is still very swollen but is ok when I get going & strap it up & painkillers. I am not sure about driving to the office next week and may have to ask to work from home. I am not sure they will believe I have fallen and twisted it again (4th time!). I have taken photos or they can see for themselves on teams!

Let them pay and when you've moved send aunty some flowers and DF a voucher / gift as a thank you.

Get the crutches as you're delaying the healing process by using the bad ankle. I'm sure work will believe you as it's something you've done a few times now, one offs tend to raise eyebrows.

The fête / boot sale sounds great, enjoy it and the garden.

DS & DF spent a couple of hours in the garden yesterday. Auntie wasn’t feeling well so stayed at the hotel. I spent most of the day relaxing with my foot up and it feels much better since I have not walked on it.

I ordered a small food delivery from co op including a roast in the bag chicken, new potatoes, baking potatoes, veg, milk, Pepsi max 8 pack & peach squash, total with delivery £22.92. DF & Auntie came for dinner. They left around 9.30pm. Leftover veg has been frozen and leftover chicken is in the fridge for lunchtime wraps/ sandwiches

Today is their last day. We are all going out for Sunday lunch this afternoon. Hopefully the weather will be ok this morning and we can just have a gentle stroll somewhere.

Auntie still not feeling well. We had a short stroll around the local pond and called at the pub for coffee. I had lemon tonic water, total spend £5.05

Sadly she didn’t feel up to Sunday lunch but the rest of us went & the food was fantastic. Prices were very good & food was fresh cooked medium size was £14 and I was stuffed 😋DF insisted on paying.

Felt very sad when we said our goodbyes 😢 it has been wonderful to see them.

This morning I am going to try the short drive to aldee. This afternoon I am working at home just a half day. Am undecided about the rest of the week whether to ask to work at home to keep the weight off my ankle for a little longer. By the end of the day it is very swollen and sore

How about asking for the next 2 days WAH, see if there's any improvement and then ask for the remaining days. I think you'd be ok asking for the lot though, they seem to be accomodating.

Hope aunty feels better soon. Have you planned your next visit up north, it will give you something to look forward to.

Your day sounded great, air, food and good company, always makes a Sunday better.
