Walked the dog this morning wow it was cold 🥶 but it has warmed up as the day has gone on and it’s meant to be mild tomorrow. Feeling much better today.I am working later tomorrow so I will go shopping in the morning as it’s payday. I have made a list and am hoping to get enough to see me through to when I go up north in 3 weeks. My car insurance renewal has arrived. Last year was £213.93. This year £217.72. I phoned them up and got them down to £191.84. I can’t find the same cover cheaper so I will stick with D Line. Well done on walking it is so cold. You did well on your car insurance. It's good that you are socialising with friends, I cant wait to see my friends at Christmas. 3 weeks till you see your father sooooo happy.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221

It was 0° on the way in, 4° on the way home. You're doing well to keep walking PD!
Good price for your insurance ☺️Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Payday 🤗 It has felt a long month. It is not as cold today so the heating is back to 15 minutes every 2 hours. It’s been so cold the last few days it’s been 15 minutes every hour 9am to 9pm. Trying not to worry about it, it is what it is when I have been poorly and I am working from home. I don’t have a central thermostat, instead each radiator has its own thermostat control so you can set the temperature to be warmer in the individual rooms you are actually in.Told DS not to use the tumble dryer unless it’s an emergency. Otherwise he can pay the big bills we will get. Why on earth he thought it was ok to tumble dry a pile of underwear and socks when the heating is on I don’t get it. Hopefully he got the message!Puppy Dog has been fed & is snoozing. I will go food shopping after dog walk later, then I am working this afternoon. I think I will get a pizza from aldee for dinner or something I can microwave after I finish work this evening. Will be cheaper than a takeaway. I have deleted all the takeaway apps from my phone & will just plan to have one New Year’s Eve as we do every year.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hope you are feeling better and you get something nice to wear. My uniform for going out is usually dressy trousers or jeans plus a blouse and boots.

Well done on being paid, it is still cold. My heating bill will be high. Deleting the apps is good i keep getting leaflets through the door from local businesses and sometimes get tempted but i have not had a takeaway for ages.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

TomBo has been putting the heating on just as I get up for 30 mins and we put it on again about 7pm for the evening. The bills are cheap the rest of the year so a couple of months of higher ones I can live with.
Well done for deleting the apps, the savings can be put to better use elsewhere in your budgets.
Hope your day went well.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Welcome to December 🎄🥶⛄️🎁❄️After walking the dog yesterday I made the short car trip to morreasons and picked up own brand 2 hair mousse £1 each, 2 hairspray 85p each (both of which I have used for years) also got a fancy shower gel for DS’s gf xmas gift £2 reduced from £3. Got some bran for the dog (don’t ask!!) £2.50 & chocolate and kippers for me 😆 total spend £10.45
Then onto aldee, popped into GP opposite first, then a quick bit of food shopping. It’s surprising how quickly the morning goes! Total spend £57.58 and there should be enough for a couple of weeks meals. Popped into chemist on the way home, unpacked the shopping, then a quick drink and snack before starting work!
Needless to say I was exhausted last night when I finished work! I had kippers for tea with tiger bread and proper butter 😋I usually pay for takeaway out of my entertainment budget but the money needs to go to socialising in December 😁 I have my Christmas meal with the girls £21.95 plus drinks and taxi fare. I am also meeting up with a couple of friends over xmas period for lunch on a couple of days.I will need petrol up north and as I haven’t bought any since DF visited in October I’m not sure how much it will cost. I will budget £100 & see how it goes. It will go on the credit card and I will move money from savings to pay in full when the bill comes in January.I have forgotten a few things on my shopping list but I am back at the GP early Saturday morning for my covid booster so I will pop into aldee after and get the last few bits.Right, better see if I can snooze for a bit as it will soon be time to walk the dog. 🐶0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Shopping waa good.
I know it normally comes from another budget, but I'm thinking of all the extra ladies that lunch events you could do instead.
My 1L cost £43 to fill up at £1.459, yours will be a little more and £100 should cover it, with enough for a chocolate bar 😀Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
You are right MF. While we have been in lockdown I have used the £50 entertainment budget to treat myself or buy takeaway. Now that things are open and people are starting to go out more it will be used for nice meals out or the occasional tea and cake. 😁
