Yum to sausage sandwiches. Glad puppy is back and rolling around on grass only! She's happy to be with mum again. Two days till the weekend. Let's hope it passes quickly!

  • It's probably a bit of everything causing the headache.
Who needs expensive toys when a receipt keeps PD happy for hours 😊
Gift ideas are great as is the sausage sandwich!

I’m “granny” to puppy dog SW 😆 As she is technically DS’s dog, he is “dad” & DS’s gf is “mum”.  🙄 Still, I’d rather be granny to a dog than the alternative! (Baby eek 😬 Hope not!)

Head feels stuffed full of cotton wool this morning & sore throat & chest aches. Will do a lateral flow before I walk the dog. Will try and negotiate paperwork only today as I don’t think I can talk much.

Trying not to spend anything between now and payday. I have enough frozen meals pre-cooked to last & will make more veg soup today. I have petrol still in the car from October. Just out tomorrow to take the dog to the vet for her annual jabs & check up, all paid for by DS as part of the health plan he pays for.

I managed to get an early morning weekend appointment for my covid booster next week s at my doctors surgery as all other appointments were in the evenings in January! They seem to release a few daytime appointments for November each day so I managed to grab one & book it.

  • Fingers crossed the LF is clear and it's just a winter cold.
    Good luck with the jab.
If PD is anything like cat, you're all her staff!

Not long until payday and the weekend ☺️

So many people have Covid at work. I hope you are ok. Please try to rest and good luck with the test.

  • LF was negative. I had a quick walk with the dog & I was well wrapped up. Managed to work until lunch time, had some soup from the slow cooker which was nice, but just feeling really rough and shivery even though the heating was on, so I called in sick & took the rest of the afternoon off.

Once I got warmed up in bed I slept for 2 hours. Felt a bit better after but now going downhill again. Will take some more paracetamol before an early night. Will see how I feel tomorrow.

I have ordered indian for tea on buy one get one free with delivery £13.50 for 2 chicken tikka masala and 1 portion of chips. Hopefully the warmth of the sauce will ease my throat and chest 😋 I will eat one meal & freeze the other once it has cooled.

  • It's got to be 'just' a winter bug due to the change in weather, not helped due to work pressures.
Hope you get an early night and have a good rest, stay wrapped up.

  • Get well my lovely. I am scared as everyone at work staff and students have either got covid or bugs. We are all so tired.

  • Thanks for your get well wishes 😊

I have slept on and off through the night. Just about to get up and feed the dog and have a cup of tea.
The meals last night were huge with 10 large pieces of chicken in  each one. So I split them into 4 meals and had one with the chips. 3 left into the freezer so just under £3.38 per meal. Will just add frozen oven chips or micro rice.
I am due to start work at lunch time today. I will see how I feel later. I have to go to the chemist this morning to collect my meds and need to take the dog to the vet for her annual jabs. I will wear a mask & hope not to pass on my sore throat.
My sister rang last night and my nephew (15) has covid😱 Her husband has also tested positive on LF so is waiting for pcr results. She is still negative but has been ill the last week with winter bug. I hope they will all be ok. I am supposed to be going to them for xmas with DF so fingers crossed we will all be well and lurgy free by then.
