Glad the spray worked. I am glad it is dry by me too as will take advantage of it. I cant believe there are fireworks still going off. Hope you are relaxing.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • I spent most of yesterday late afternoon/ early evening relaxing SW 😊

    Jobs for today
    ✅walk the dog
    ✅slow cooker on
    ✅washing done & hung out
    hoover the car
    check tyre pressure

It’s cloudy & mild today with a bit of a breeze every now and again. Hopefully washing will dry outdoors but will finish off on airers later this evening if necessary.

In my slow cooker today is mince & onions and carrots in gravy. I will have some later with veg & a jacket potato cooked in the microwave. Extra portions will be frozen. That just leaves beef stew / beef curry to do in slow cooker tomorrow. I am going to cook a whole broccoli and a whole cauli in my steamer and have some later & freeze the rest.

  • I never took it that way, was just frustrated with myself for not knowing something I've used loads! Who knows where any of these names come from, they're definitely funny though.

Enjoy cooking and don't overdo it it.

  • Load of washing dried on the line yesterday. I also hoovered the car. The cordless new hoover is fab! Still did me in though, had a lie down after. Didn’t check the tyre pressure, will do that one afternoon after work.

Friend phoned to ask if I wanted to walk to the shops but I was knackered. Steamer finished just after, so I had some veg with slow cooker mince &onions in gravy 😋

Ds has just gone to work and his gf has gone away for a week to visit her family and taken the dog. So I have a week off dog walking. This afternoon I will walk to the local shop for milk & some cream to make cheese sauce. I just warm the cream and add grated cheese to melt. I will try and stick to my shopping list.

  • You got a lot done the weekend and it's nicely times for a rest without PD walks to do.

  • Had a lie in yesterday morning. Tried on a pair of the jeans I bought. Reduced from £24 to £12. They are very soft denim and very comfortable so they are a keep. I will try the other pair later today. I have 100 days to return either of them if I change my mind before wearing them.

My top up shop ended up being £13.52 🤦‍♀️ including milk, crumpets, cream & hot chocolate. When I get the bills money from DS and his gf today I will pay my credit card bill and see what is left. I still have half a tank of petrol from last month so the money budgeted for that can move over to grocery budget if necessary.

My friend from Sunday called again (not my house moving friend) so I went for an early evening stroll with her round the pond. Then she treated us both to a pot of tea in the local pub. Was nice to get a bit of fresh air and stretch my legs and had a nice chat 😊

Now that I have got up this morning and moved around to ease my back I am going back to bed with a cup of tea. It’s very quiet here without the dog 🐶

  • Jeans sound lovely.
    Shopping wasn't bad for essentials.
Keep an eye on petrol prices, they're a bit silly at the moment.

What a wonderful evening, seems like it's done you a load of good.

Thanks both of you. I’m afraid the back is a life long condition SW so I always wake early & need to move around. That’s why I feed the dog so early when she is here 🐶

I tried the 2nd pair of jeans today £12.50 reduced to £6. They are cropped pale blue “skinny” style, (or not so skinny in my case 😆) with the bottom of the legs rolled up. I only have short legs so I can roll the bottom of the legs down and tuck them into long boots. Then in the summer I can roll the legs up & wear as cropped. Does that make sense 🙄 Really pleased that I managed to get them in the sale.

Beef stew was cooked in the slow cooker today. Leftover portions into the freezer. Tomorrow in the slow cooker I am going to make curried parsnip soup. 😋 I love chucking stuff in before work then having a lovely hot meal ready for after work.

Tomorrow I also need to wipe the inside of the car and check my tyre pressure. Car goes for it’s MOT and service thursday.
