  • Final tip run went ok on Sunday. Took my jig saw to friends house and cut the final old fence posts in half to fit in the back of the tardis with my 5 old patio chairs & some other stuff she was getting rid of.

Then went to card factory & got 6 cards & book of 14 second class stamps £15.44 & will transfer money from birthday / xmas fund.

Friend treated me to a burger & drink at McD for taking her to tip for 3rd time. We sat outside as the sun was out.

Then we drove home & went for a drink at the pub. Just a Diet Coke in the sun, then it started raining so we sat under the covered gazebo & had a cup of tea 😆

Today I have ordered my meds to take on holiday & will pick them up tomorrow along with a box of covid tests. I’m glad they are all free. Have got lots booked in to do & people to see already next week when up north 😁

Very busy Sunday, productive and relaxing, couldn't ask for better.

You've a lot of catching up to do and I expect your diary will be full before setting off 😃

  • I am trying to get organised to go away at the weekend. Jobs still to do

    collect prescription
    hoover downstairs
    cut grass
    check tyre pressure
    fill up car with petrol
    tidy my bedroom & hoover
    pack clothes

I would like to get most of it done by Friday before work. Then I can rest once work is done ready for the drive.

I am using up food from stores so there is nothing left in the fridge while I am away. Still to use eggs, pulled pork, ham & salad, fruit & milk. Everything else is in the freezer or dry stores so it will keep until I get back.

Try and tag your tasks together
    1) prescription, petrol and tyres
    2) pack, tidy and hoover
    3) downstairs and lawn (leave DS and GF to do it)

Then it's now rushing around different places to achieve the same result. No point overdoing it as you need to be refreshed for the drive and holiday 😃

I’ve already done the tyres & hoovered the car outside the house. I have a kneeling cushions so I can get down to do the tyres, very undignified 😂 but not as bad as trying to do it on the garage forecourt & not being able to get up! The chemist is just around the corner so I will walk there in a minute to get my meds.

Edit - the chemist are still waiting for delivery of some of my meds should be in tomorrow. Glad I phoned them before setting off! Have hoovered downstairs instead

Well done, that sounds exhausting but essential. Now have a cup of tea, chill and think about fun you will have. It will be so emotional to see family after all this time.

  • Meds have finally arrived at the chemist but it is pouring with rain so I will get them in the morning on the way to get petrol. Last day of work tomorrow for 2 weeks. I have a frozen batch cooked curry for dinner tonight with half pack micro rice & fish stew for tomorrow. Will save on cooking & washing up 😁
