  • I chose mostly Fridays as I then don’t have to get up for work the next day and can rest over the weekend.

Have been shopping total £47.32 but should be enough for 2 weeks apart from more fruit. I’m just roasting a pack of chicken sausages, courgette, peppers & onion tray bake with mozzarella which will make several breakfasts/lunches/brunches. I got 2 pizzas 99p each & garlic bread slices 65p. Also a bottle of rose wine in aldi £2.29 and a Father’s Day card £1.29 from card shop.

Still trying to decide about the hoover.

I have a miele little hoover for hair  which is great for stairs and not heavy i use it all over the house. I have white floors and black hair which drops everywhere. It sounds like i have a hair problem i dont just a white house!!!! I'm living on junk food too.

I hope you have a good weekend and that work passes quickly
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • It’s nice and cool here this morning but sky is blue & sun is coming out. ☀️  Towels are just finishing washing and I’ve just had some melon for breakfast. 😋 Just finishing a cup of tea and then I will cut the grass.

I struggled yesterday to get a birthday card for nephew (rugby fan) and brother in law (shooting) so I looked on the bay and got one of each total £4.68. Worth paying a bit more for male cards as they do a very poor range in the shops. They all seem to have booze or cars on. Nephew is 15 so he’s at that in-between age so wanted to get him something he would like. Money will be used from birthday/xmas fund.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone 😁

  • Have done an hour of weeding (pulling up dead weeds I sprayed a few weeks ago) and a bit of pruning. Something has bitten/stung me on the top of my foot 😩 it’s not painful just darned itchy and I can’t find the sudacrem. Might try putting a bit of bicarb on it or is that an old wives tale / remedy? Trying not to scratch it! Just resting as my back is aching & then I will cut the grass.

    Baking soda for bites.

Totally agree about male cards, seems to be a lack of imagination behind them in the shops.

Good luck with the lawn, take a few breaks and enjoy a sit down with a brew afterwards to admire your work 😃

Sat in the garden for breakfast, poached eggs and a slice of honeydew melon. 😋 Did a bit more weeding and sprayed the shrubs to get rid of cuckoospitters. Sat under the parasol for a while but it was just too hot for me 🥵

Spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing & watching tv in the living room with the windows open & a nice cool breeze. The dog is back next week so it will be back to dog walks again & DS &his gf back at work.

Tonight I cooked chicken mini fillets with some natural yoghurt mixed with tandoori spice powder. Had some for dinner with roasted courgettes, peppers & onions and half a pack of microwave rice. There is enough left for another meal for the freezer and a couple of chicken fillets for wraps with salad tomorrow. 😋

Had a lovely walk with the dog yesterday morning before work. Struggled through the day & today I feel terrific and have taken a day off sick 🤒 lol auto correct changed terrible to terrific. I think it’s ear nose throat, chest infection and I feel I need to lay down all the time. Just getting up for food / drinks. Breakfast was cold hard boiled egg with Mayo and slice of cold melon from fridge to soothe my throat.

I have ordered from u ber eats using 40% off code and got some shopping from asda including 8 cans sugar free 7 up and ice creams to soothe my throat. 😉

    total spend £13.33
