So glad work is over this week. Phone is now charging to 100% if it is turned off. At least it is charging and working not switching itself off. Total cost £14.94. Hopefully it will last for a good while until it needs replacing.

Weather is awful here. Gale force wind & rain. Managed to stay dry for 2 dog walks but nearly got blown over on the field 😳. Saw the swans & 7 cygnets on the pond bobbing about on the waves and saw an unusual duck with a curly tail feather which according to goo gle is a Magpie duck.

It's up and running, which is the main thing.
Hopefully the weather is calmer today, the UK has took the brunt of some interesting weather the last few days.

Today the weather is dry, calm & mild. Had a lovely walk with the dog. One big old tree down and lots of little branches along the way.

No plans for the weekend. Have emptied the dishwasher and the bins. Breakfast was beans & cheese on toast. Lunch will be chilli baked potato and dinner will be Thai red curry.

This afternoon I will check online banking & move remaining money to savings

Went shopping on Sunday to aldi & stocked up until after the BH weekend total £38.76 including toilet rolls & dishwasher tablets.

I transferred £250 to long term savings, so along with £50 in 3% account totals £300 this month. Remaining in account £2.29. Payday is Friday & shouldn’t need anything before then.

Have arranged to meet some friends for a meal on Friday after work. We are going for Italian & I am really looking forward to it.

That's good savings and I think we're all looking forward to Friday. There's always a feel good factor when it falls in time for a weekend 😃

Your evening out sounds wonderful and just what you need.

It's great that you have savings at the end of the month and brilliant that you are going out. I am hoping the weather will change for the better as it has been pretty horrendous by me at one point it felt like a tornado and I was debating whether to send my students home early! Roll  on payday and good weather.

The weather is slowly starting to improve SW. Babs you are right getting out is just what I need.

    Monthly update
    savings £300.  = £5256
    emergency fund.  = £1000
    specialist work chair = £300
    Annual bills £100 = £225
    car fund £50.  = £688
    birthdays/ xmas £50. = £255
    dog food £15.   = £157

DS pays me the dog food money as part of his monthly bills. We have run out of the food we buy from manufacturers up north. I bought a 15kg bag from p at home £38.99 and gradually mixed it in for a week so it didn’t upset her stomach. She will eat the new food now until I go up north in august & get some more of her normal food. I paid on my credit card so I will take the money from the dog food fund next month to cover that.

Budgets and savings look good, nice sums and are going in the right direction.
Would it be worth buying a larger supply during your trip, then keep topping up each time, just in case.

I usually buy 5 or 6 bags 15kg each at a time. But it’s over a year (almost 15 months) since I last went up (feb 2020). I usually go up twice a year & stock up, never imagined lockdowns would go on this long !

Had a rubbish day at work again. Manager is referring me to OH for more reasonable adjustments. Went to shop & spent £2.25 on chocolate! Remaining in bank account £0.04p 😆
