  • Yes I think you are right MF. I will leave it now until Monday then call DL & renew. At least they came down by £10 on the original price.

Puppy dog is being naughty dog at the moment 🐶 She is not used to us being home all the time & has extra energy from somewhere! We have been trying to tire her out with training & 2 walks a day. I’ve just got back from our morning walk. DS is back off night shift & gone to bed and will walk her later.

It’s damp and cool outside. No plans so far for the weekend. Have just put some sausages in the oven for a late breakfast & will freeze the rest once cooled.

I agree with both of you re the insurance. Yum to late breakfast that's what I am having for lunch. Puppy sounds like she is full of laughs. You will never be bored with her around.

Puppy dog has a new routine to learn, she doesn't know when her walks will be, her play time is as and when she dictates and I imagine her food times have changed a bit too.

Try and work out a routine eg pee walk at 7, breakfast at 9, pee and walk at 12, playtime at 3, pee and walk at 6, food at 8, pee at 9 or 10, then bed an hour later. Hopefully if you can all stick with the routine, she will settle again.

  • Can’t sleep this morning. Will get up shortly & feed the dog. Sticking to pre-corona routine as much as possible, I used to start work at 6.30am. Hopefully by sticking to usual times it will be easier to get back to work once we are allowed to go back.

This is the second week the heating has been off. It’s been mostly warm nights so I have been sleeping with the window open.

Nice dog walk yesterday morning in the sun. Walked to the coop in the afternoon and there was no one around. Was let straight in by the security guard & managed to get lots including milk & eggs & ice cream 😋 Maintained social distancing at all times.

Had a can of Pepsi max last night. First one for ages. It tasted lovely but afterwards I had a very sore throat. Read on the web about throat burn from carbonated drinks. Back to my peach squash again.

Well done on sticking to normal times. Ive switched the heating off but am not brave enough to open the windows. Yum to ice cream. I didn't realise fizzy drinks caused throat burn.

  • Feeling sad today ☹️ Took the dog for a walk & she got over excited & started nipping. She hasn’t done this since she was a puppy. Threw her ball but she just wanted to jump up & bite my clothes. Lead was put back on and she was marched home.

Have renewed house insurance with DL. Paying more but at least I know there is someone at the end of the phone if I need them unlike British Gas who are only speaking to emergencies, which I can understand in these unusual times. Still managed to save £10 on renewal price but DL wouldn’t come any lower.

Had a lemon muffin for breakfast after dog walk. Not v healthy. Need to get a grip & sort myself out there are people much worse off than me fgs

It's OK to feel sad.  Yes there are people much worse off, but it doesn't take the pain of a broken leg away to know that the person next to you has 2 broken legs... yours still hurts like hell!  You certainly won't be on your own that things are getting you down.
Try and do whatever it is you do to relax... tomorrow is another day.  (((hugs))) X
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
  • Thanks Chrystal. You are right. I think also that the problem is I have done too much relaxing! I thought yesterday was Sunday 😵 I have no focus other than walking the dog each day but yesterday’s walk was awful and it really upset me.

Still no news about my work equipment. I have around £50 left till payday. Not sure whether to donate to Captain Tom or keep it for “The Big night in” fund raiser or find something else. So many good causes. Have already donated some to my nephews friend who has been diagnosed with leukaemia. He and his friends plus my nephew & brother in law all shaved their heads for charity.

Today I must focus on doing something. Hoping this mornings dog walk will be better than yesterday. Will then scrub the patio, fill puppy dogs paddling pool as the weather is meant to be hot for the rest of the week and start sorting the utility room ready for emptying and painting.

  • Lovely dog walk today. Didn’t have breakfast as didn’t feel hungry. Instead I had a dinner at 12. Roast lamb, roast potatoes, carrots & broccoli.

This afternoon I have weeded the alleyway at the back of the house. It has membrane & stones but there is the odd weed or grass that grows on top. They are easy to pull up as they are not rooted in the ground. Have also sorted more in the utility room & broken up several boxes to put into the recycling bin for collection on Friday.

Dinner tonight will be leftover cold roast chicken & salad on a wrap. The sun is very hot in the kitchen in the afternoon so I don’t need to cook in the heat ☀️

    Good dinner choice!

Your gardening and all tasks were very productive, nothing like a little pottering around in the sun.

Enjoy your tea, it sounds delicious.
