  • Didn’t do much yesterday after 1 hour dog walk in the morning. Watched a couple more films. Went outside at 8pm & clapped for all the keyworkers keeping the country going including my sister & niece & DS & his gf.

Have walked the dog for an hour this morning. I am going to continue spring cleaning & do my bedroom today, including washing the bedroom window inside & out, its a tilt & turn and opens inwards (like a door) so I can safely clean both sides.

Still sounds like a relaxing day to me SYA.

I do think the tilt and turn windows are a great invention and was pleased that's what's in the flat I'm buying.

It's good you got to take puppy dog out and got some fresh air in you x

Can’t believe it’s the weekend already ! The days are merging into one. I have another week on “holiday”. I have been trying to get a bit of a routine going most days. Mornings I walk the dog, then hot chocolate & morning tv to catch up on the news. Potter around, tidy kitchen & put washing on. Read my book. 1pm news headlines & clean the dog’s teeth 😆 She has her own brush & liver flavour toothpaste 🤢

Then after lunch I do another bit of spring cleaning. 5pm news update from government. Speak to DF on the phone then dinner & tv.

I cleaned my bedroom yesterday, including the window inside & out and hoovered behind & under the bed. I just have to finish off today with my hoover to get the dust off my books then remove them from the bookcase & clean the shelves.

When DF & gf change to late shifts I will be doing the evening walk so I will have to adjust my routine & do the later walk. If the weather is as hot as forecast this weekend I may even sit in the garden ☀️

My hair was ready for cutting at the beginning of March when I came back from DF’s. The sides have got long & in my face & it is overall very mop-like. Last night I took the scissors to it and chopped the sides short & chopped into the top/back to thin it out. It looks ok. No one will see me except the dog 🐶 and DF & his gf. Today I am going to chop into the thick part round my neck, as the weather warms up I feel like I have a rug on my head! Fingers crossed it will look ok 🤞

I like your routine. Good luck with the hair cutting I admire you. I had mine chopped a month ago and it is just fitting into a band. That will be my solution when it grows. lol. I hope your father,  son and dear girlfriend are ok.What a strange time.

  • Yesterday it was cooler in the morning, I walked the dog around 9am and there was hardly anyone around. I then chilled for the rest of the day, reading my book & watching tv.

Today it was much warmer at 9am, the dog didn’t want to play with her ball & kept running up to people to say hello to them & their dogs & wouldn't come back.  So I had to put her back on the lead & bring her home. She doesn’t understand this social distancing lark. 🙁

Still haven’t been shopping but am getting low on food. Will need to sort out an online shop or get DS to get me some. He got in at 2am & is back to work at 1pm so it will wait till his next rest day.

Im glad you aren't taking any risks Skinty we want you alive. Online shopping is difficult. The impression I am getting is that the local cornershops are quite good as they are going to the cash and carry's every day whereas the supermarket's are busy. I am glad you are going out with doggie though. It was gorgeous by me today I am so pleased you  are safe.

  • Have been sticking to my meal plan. Most days I have been pottering around cleaning, washing & walking the dog. I also moved money into my car & birthday/Xmas funds. Enjoying the sun ☀️ It’s meant to drop back to 10 degrees on Monday 🥶

Had an email from TV Licensing stating my direct debit had been rejected. Checked online banking  & my direct debit came off on 1 April and has not been rejected. Looked at the email again & it is a scam wanting my bank details to “set up a new direct debit”. It was very convincing with the proper tv licensing logo but their email address was a giveaway as they spelt licensing without the letter n  “tvlicesing”. One to watch out for as DS & his gf have also now both had individual scam emails asking for payment.

I'm glad you are pottering around, helps to keep mentally active together with a bit of physical activity. Make the most of the sun while we have it, it's usual to have a sunny Bank Holiday!

There are loads of scams going around, I keep getting one about HMRC wanting to refund me about 1/3 of my monthly salary. It's always sent to my works email.

Another one I get is about my mobile phone, that one is text to me from my 'provider' but it always starts a new chat and not continues in the ones from my actual phone provider; keep marking it as spam, but it's not stopped them yet.

I had one from paypal luckily I had no money in it so just deleted it. I can't believe the cheek of these scammers. Well done in doing so many house things Skinty. You have inspired me for today. I hope you have good weather today and can take doggie for a nice walk.
